Average quality; watch out for connections
The Amazon ad doesn't state this, but the unit came with a wiring harness to connect all three outlets together. I do lots of wiring, and I noticed as I attached one of the female spade terminals that it was loose. When I checked some of the other ones, they were loose as well. I disconnected the harness and tried to squeeze them together to tighten them up, to no avail, so I made my own harness with high quality terminal ends. I did this because there may be times when I will plug in an electric portable cooler or freezer into this, and I know from experience that these units draw enough power, especially when running 24/7, that the wiring will heat up if not properly done. If all you are ever going to do is plug in some low amperage device into this, then no problem. But if you're going to draw some current through it, you don't want some loose internal connection possibly starting a meltdown or fire.

Thin wire, and very deep sockets.
I've installed a lot of 12v car sockets / 12v to USB / 12v Anderson Power Pole connectors, and I've ordered car sockets many times.I got this installed in my camping trailer and plugged in my car socket tester (has a volt gauge) and the tester didn't register any power. Shocked, I checked all of the connections and tried again. Still no joy. Finally I got out my multi-meter, and there is power in the socket - the socket is just so deep that my tester couldn't make contact at the back.I gather a random assortment of devices, and only found 2 that were long enough to charge. None of my usb adapters were long enough. In fact, the diameter of the hole is slightly larger than normal, and some of my Anker USB adapters didn't even make contact on the side.Unless you need this specific surface mount style, look elsewhere. If you do need this style, you may want to consider buy different outlets to replace those included. Also, while I didn't remove a star for this, I wanted to warn people about the tiny wires included. It comes with 16 AWG wire. 16 AWG is only good for distances of 2-4 feet for a single socket, and I'd never use 16 AWG for a double socket. Throw away the wires and use 12 AWG minimum (unless you are within feet of the battery). I use 10 AWG for just about everything - just to be safe. Using a heavier wire is especially important because this is a double outlet, so more current is needed to support both wires.

Worked perfectly for my application
I used this to hook up my 12V fridge/freezer in my VW Westfalia van. One 12V socket is for my house battery, and the other for the starter battery. I can use the socket for the starter battery when I'm driving since it's being recharged by the alternator and move the plug to the house battery when camped, which is charged by solar. I was able to mount it right next to where the fridge lives and since it's right by the sliding door, it will also be conveniently located when I move the fridge outside under my awning. My original plan was to use a DPDT switch to select which battery to use, but I discovered there just wasn't enough room in the box for the additional 6 wire setup the switch would require. There's not a ton of room inside the box, so keep that in mind when planning your wiring. The switch was probably over thinking the solution, anyway. It's easy enough to move the plug from one port to the other. I'll find a good use for that switch in another project, but the idea was cool. Also, there is no hole to route the wires into the box. I just drilled a hole where I needed it and used a rubber grommet to prevent the wires from chafing. I also have a three hole version of this box and had to drill a hole for that one, too. That's probably a good thing, since the location of the hole will vary depending on the installation needs. I suppose you wouldn't need to drill a hole if you're installing it over wires already coming out of a wall or something, if that makes sense.

Dangerous! Not marine rated.
This product is dangerous. Installed in a Jeep Wrangler that sees regular offroad usage. I wanted a marine rated outlet in case any water or other contaminants made their way into the cabin. Driving home, and I noticed my phone stopped charging, and smoke was billowing out of the top of the unit. Unplugged the cable from the usb charger, and popped open the caps for the sockets, only to find them excessively corroded and shorting out internally, but not enough to pop the 10A fuse I used to power the setup. I will absolutely be returning this, and staying away from this product going forward.

over priced from this vendor
2 Issues ... I found the item on amazon for 20 % less , but too late to cancel the order ....The unit comes with 2 wiring harnesses ... but the connectors are straight ... The space requires a 90 degree flag connector ... The odd part is I think they realized this and supplied the flag connectors.. so the connectors that are on the pre-made harnesses must be cut off and the supplied flag connectors installed . The unit must be taken apart to determine the polarity of the spade connectors for each socket, as the positive and negative indicators are not visible when the sockets are installed in the tent type housing .

Solidly built with wire harness. Plenty of extra wire connectors and screws included. Excellent value.
Great choice and value of the many brands and styles to choose from. I was not sure what I was going to receive but I am very satisfied with these. Solid plastic housing and a nice variety of power options to choose from. They came with pre-made ready to go wiring along with mounting screws and plenty of extra connectors. You can exchange the outlet options between them and even rotate the sockets or meter for a vertical mount like I did. I ordered one 3 socket version and replaced one socket with a switch. I took that extra socket and replaced the USB outlet in the 2nd one I purchased that also had a volt meter and a socket. I ended up with exactly what I needed. (Hopefully they will offer a switch in the future) With a direct to battery hook up I now have 2 sockets in the front I can switch on with a power on indicator without the keys. The 2nd unit with the DCV meter is installed that in the rear of the Jeep providing 2 more sockets. One for my fridge / freezer that I want to run when the jeep is off while I can easily see the battery voltage to prevent it form running too low.

Everything You Need in the Package
McGivored to allow me to plug in 12V ski boot heaters/dryers at our mountain home. Slick unit, well manufactured and had all the bits one might need for different applications/installations. I will be buying another for my RV
