KTEB-126-1-TP Ballast

Q: I have a circular fluroscent 22 watt 8-inch light bulb in my closet that doesn't work when replaced. Will this ballast work with my lighting? thx

Q: The ballast in my sconce shows kteb-126-1-tp, but has /a at the end. it's only 2-3/4 inches long, not the 5.9 inches listed here. will this fit?

Not sure. The spec sheet I kept after installing two of these puppies some three years ago show a length of 2.9 inches. However, I became so frustrated with the price of these guys and their abysmal failure rate, that I ripped out the fluorescent guts of two lamp post units, and replaced with incandescent wiring. No problems whatsoever since. I did notice that my ballasts were invoiced as KTEB-1-TP /B. I have some great images I can email you if you want.

The key is the wattage of the bulb. All florescences have 4 pins and each set of 2 drive an element and the arc between the elements through the "fluorescent" gas is what makes the light. The heat of the elements at the ends of the bulb is what makes the ends turn dark with use.
