This works well for me to mirror from my iPhone to my TV. The video & sound is great. My only concern is it was hot to the touch after just a few minutes.

Perfect for our Elgato. We record our kids gameplay for their YouTube Channel. A must have for video production of any Streamer. iPad comparable.

It worked well for a while, but soon fell apart and the sound stopped working. It lasted for less than 10 uses. Save your money and get an apple one. They are on clearance at other places. I was able to purchase a genuine Apple one for about $15 from a campus store clearance sale. I found through a Google search.

I used this with the OnSong app to display song lyrics with a projector. This worked perfectly ... well, it did for a whileUpdate: Four months later it simply stopped working. It actually causes the OnSong app to close ... and sometimes it even causes the iPad to crash and reboot. If I unplug the HDMI cable, the iPad works fine and OnSong works other than its ability to display via HDMI, of course, but as soon as I plug in the HDMI cable, the problems. begin. I tried another cable ... I tried another iPad ... nope, it's the adapter. And now, it's past the point of an Amazon return.

Tried it on my old iPad 3g to no avail.

Works as advertised with my iPad. I also needed a lightning adapter, and based on the negative reviews I also purchased the Apple branded version. Having seen how well this one worked I wouldn't make that mistake again.

Worked well for my use

Can't get it to work with Amazon prime nor Netflix while streaming. My iPad is 9.3.5... If I download a show from Netflix and then play it , it work fine, but not streaming. Won't work with Amazon prime at all. Works with YouTube streaming just fine.Update: after 2 days it quit working completely. Returning it.
