Good artist, good book
Good artist, good book, but could have had more material. I assume it was a catalog. She s deserving of much more.

A Bag of Bones
This book is a disappointment but the material is limited to mostly tree tops and those including some of the trees environment are painterly. Although the author and the artist go to a great extent to explain such work with weak and ineffectual terms, the images define the weakness an obsession with a micro part of nature.. What painterly work are shown are few and with others that are linear studies of tree branches well they are as exciting as focusing on the tibia found in the dusty attic skeleton of a deceased doctor. These aren't Monet's or Hockney's trees. Fortunately I got the book through an inter library loan and saved some money, the book is just slightly larger than an exhibit catalog..
