Cute toy but very bulky and loud
First off, this is such a cute toy and concept. The battery life is great and it moves around amazing, it doesn’t just roll in place. That being said, it is a bit loud so the sound sort of scared my kitten but after a while she found chasing it fun. It is heavy so if you have stairs you’ll hear it roll and fall. Other than that, it’s a great buy!

It works great!
This is a great cat toy. All 3 of my cats loved it. I love that it came with a feather to attach to it that draws the cats in to play. It works great!

Does not match product claims
This cat toy is advertised as something that will roll around and tickle your cat's need to chase things, I got it for just such a reason so that my cat could have some fun when I leave the house. Here are the issues.1. It does not maintain a direction at all. This is an off set electric motor that spins one way for 1.5 seconds then the other for 1.5 seconds, sometimes due to the weight it will shift enough to go the same direction twice. But most of the time it's going to spin in circles and wiggle back and forth.2. It has a space that is advertised you can put catnip in it, you can if you want to disassemble the whole thing, but then it just goes into what is a spinning sealed container so it does nothing.3. If you get the model with the tail, as I did, it will get caught on it's tail and basically just become one of those cheap and cruddy "rave machines" from the early 2000's.My suggestion, for the price, buy an electric motor, attach it to a scratching post, and affix a fishing toy to it.

Looked fun but cats lost interest quickly
My cats were interested in this for about 5 minutes. Then it just ran around on the floor till I finally got up and turned it off. Several days later I tried it again and all 3 cats didn’t play with it, just watched it for a few minutes. I do have some theories on why. First it makes a lot of noise while it’s turned on. They may have been turned off by that. Second, it is very loud when bouncing off the walls. This is because the ball is very heavy. Not sure about the cats but it drove me crazy. The one good thing I have to say is it is very good at getting itself out of any corners or other small areas. It covers a lot of ground and can go from room to room on its own. I’m really sorry the cats didn’t like it. It seems like a very solid toy that could stand up to a lot of abuse such bouncing off stuff all day. Maybe a small dog would enjoy it more. It would also be a lot more quiet if the outside was rubber instead of hard plastic.

it is easy to stuck if there are cables around
I got it for my medium size dog. She got board here and there and it is easy to stuck around cables and adapters. I also got an auto laser pointer for dog and she is into it more.

Keeps my cat entertained.
The media could not be loaded. My cat wasn’t crazy about it when I first got it but now, the second she hears it rolling around, It doesn’t matter if she’s eating or sleeping, she will stop everything she’s doing and run to play with it. I just wish it stayed on for longer than five minutes. (hence the four stars ) It would be great to keep her distracted when I leave for at least the first few minutes. It would be really cool if it was censored and only turned off when it wasn’t being used anymore. But it is a great find overall.

Know what your cat likes.
My cat had no interest at all. She loves lights but I guess its more important to to her to be able to grab it. since this is on the heavy side and all plastic and not grab-able, she has no.use for it it.

Good you but slow rolling
Cats were intrigued at first, ball runs a long time, however it’s too slow to keep our cars interested enough to chase it. I even taped a string to it. But maybe your cats are less picky. Nice toy in general.

Great for playful brave cats
The media could not be loaded. My in-laws savannah cat loves this thing - but he is a fearless and playful younger cat - has kept him happy a good half hour at a time and it’s rechargeableWhereas my 15 year old tabby wants nothing to do with itGood value for the price and seems to withstand dropping down my tile stairs as well

the only interesting thing about this is the LED light
Interesting toy, but for my cat it just won't do. She's got too much "respect" and does not get any close, or chase. It's simply too big. She likes watching the LED light for a while before she gets bored of it.The attachment is a nice idea but it just doesn't work. On their own, my cat loves playing with them, but on the ball she just won't get anywhere near. When the attachments are on the ball, the ball keeps going in circles as the string keeps twirling and twisting itself so much, it forces the ball in only one direction and therefore makes it go in small circles. The worst is the feather, as it's simply too big and the way the ball rolls, not only makes it twist the string, but the feather activily is blocking the ball to go anywhere far and just twists so much, that the feather often goes under the ball rather than being dragged for chasing.A good idea, but certainly needs a lot of improvement. I.e. making it smaller would help (if that's even possible). Change the "rolling" direction and where the attachment goes so it doesn't interfere with the "rolling" motion.Battery sufficient, otherwise interesting design.

Noisy!
After seeing an advert for this type of toy I decided to try it for my indoor cats. I was hoping it would keep them entertained whilst I do my own thing. My cats follow it around the house, just watching it. They don't try to play with it though. It's quite big for a cat and because it's plastic...boy is it noisy! Whenever it hits a wall or piece of furniture it makes a really loud thud. I tried to put some fabric round it but this restricts it movement.Would be better if it was a. Smaller and b. Made of a soft material like silicone.
