Worth the price
Every sock I own (and now my son's own) is Darn Tough. We moved off of cotton socks as they tend to stay wet when compared to Merino wool. The Darn tough socks in general are strong and carry a lifetime warranty (which is crazy). The socks are quite an anomaly as they are warm in the winter yet cool in the summer. The tactical no-show socks are a little extra stretchy compared to standard Darn Tough socks and super comfortable. They fit (height-wise) in between an ankle sock and the really low heel height socks which I find perfect for the shoes I typically wear. Buy Darn tough products you won't regret it.

Perfect ankle sock!
As my title states, it’s the perfect ankle sock!Fits well and has the right amount of cushion for being on your feet. I have other “no show” Darn Tough socks, but I’ve slowly narrowed down to these as the best. Very happy with them and have others on their way to me.

Tough High Quality Socks!!
The price that you see is for 1-pair, which seems very expensive for socks...and yes you can get a 6 pack of normal cotton socks for the same price, but these are worth the price. First and foremost, they have a lifetime warranty! That is right if these things wear out, get holes, lose elasticity or get damaged for any reason you can send them back to Darn Tough and get them replaced. So, buying 6 or 7 pairs and you are pretty much set for life. The socks form to your feet so sizing is important. The sizing chart seems ok for the most part, but because these are form fitting if you are near the edge of a size, I would get the larger size. I wear a size 11 4E and I need the extra-large size because of my wider feet, so if you are 2E, 4E, or 6E you might want to try a size up. These are 60% Merino wool which means they wick away moisture and keep you warm in the winter / cool in the summer. I live in New England where we can have 90F summer days and 0F winter days, and these feel great and never let my feet get damp, cold, are overly hot. Most outdoor people will always advise wool socks instead of cotton, because they dry quickly, wick away moisture, and maintain their insulation even when wet. They also tend to stay odor free far longer than cotton. In a pinch you could wear these multiple days and unlike regular socks they do not smell and prohibit bacterial growth. Even if your feet get soaked and you step in a puddle, these socks tend to keep your feet warm even if soaked. These are also reinforced and thick in all the right places and seem to provide extra support almost like a custom insole in the shoe. This makes them thicker than most socks, but I had no problems wearing normal shoes, and as mentioned previously the unique properties of wool allow these to feel great even on the hottest summer days.In conclusion these are the best socks I have ever owned, I used to be the type of guy to buy 12 socks and wear them until they looked like Swiss cheese. These seem bomb proof, and if they ever wear, I get them replaced for free...forever!! They are the perfect height, perfect feel, and have made a huge difference in comfort. Do yourself a favor and try a pair, if you are anything like me you will have 6 more pairs by the end of the week.

2 Year Update: Just as expected, perfect!
Update: (01/2021)I came back looking to see what size I ordered of this sock. Decided to give an update while I was at it! Darn Tough remains one of the best brands I’ve invested in as a return on investment. Over the past four years I’ve purchased eight pairs of socks (two calf socks, four 1/4s, and two no-shows). I just finished sending back the last of my Coolmax 1/4s, all of which developed holes. It took 2-3 years, which is a long time, but none of my other socks have shown sign of any significant wear, so that was unusual. But this is a happy story, because I was refunded under the lifetime warranty on ALL four pairs. No questions asked. Each time they’ve given me equivalent credit on their website to purchase any new pair of Darn Tough socks I want, and this alone is fantastic. The extra cushion calf socks and the T4016 no show cushion socks I own are all incredible, and I absolutely love wearing them. Four years into converting to this brand, and I will say it a thousand times: It’s worth the $15-25 price tag PER PAIR. They’re so comfortable (for daily use, for traveling, for hiking and for camping), they last a long time, and they stand behind their warranty claims.Original Review: (12/2018)One thing I love about Darn Tough is that they stand by their lifetime warranty. My first pair of Tactical no shows arrived after an old pair of 1/4 hiker socks eventually wore a hole. I filled out their claim form, washed them, mailed them out and in about a week, I was emailed a code for any sock of equal value on their website! This is my second pair of the same sock because their my summer dailies and no show is more ideal for day to day outfits. But they’re just as padded, warm/cool, moisture wicking and odor repellant as any other pair of Darn Tough sock I own. In fact, my opinion is that their regular merino socks hold up to wear and tear and odor better than their CoolMax’s. Regardless, I’m on my feet all day at work, I do a lot of hiking, regular trails and mountains, and I travel quite a bit. Darn Tough have become my go-to sock; they do it all very well! I’ve replaced all my old socks with Darn Tough Tactical cushion no shows for summer and warm climate hikes, and half calf full cushion hiking socks for winter and cold weather hikes.
