Ya you lower the volume on your smart phone or whatever device that's linked to the bluetooth speaker

Q: Can the auto shutoff be disabled?

Mine does not shutoff on its own. Perhaps this is because I only use it with an inserted micro SD card (instead of pairing it to my phone)? I don't know why. But I like it that way.
