I am very impressed by the smooth function and artistic beauty of this handy steel and glass gadget! It feels solid in the hand. A full cylinder of beans will produce about 6 tablespoons of ground coffee in about a minute, fresh when you need it; or use the well-designed glass jar as temporary storage, the securely-fitting lid will keep the ground beans fresh. Another plus, the box it comes in provides cushioning and sturdy support for travel and storage, but this grinder is so well-made you won't need the box when going hiking; going off-grid won't mean you can't have your morning cuppa! Drop-dead easy to use. Instructions for disassembly and cleaning are included, but I have found that just using a clean dry toothbrush after grinding will clear the grinder teeth of coffee debris quite well. First of all, I've had this manual coffee grinder for over two years now and have used it almost everday. My husband and I initially bought this grinder for camping and roadtrips, but we liked it so much that we ended up using it as our main coffee grinder because it works so well. It's easy to clean and fits our hands perfectly for a good grip. One full grind makes about 4 cups of coffee which is perfect for the both of us. We also love how it has 6 options for the type of grind. It's so easy to use and takes minimal effort to get a good amount in seconds. I've tried others and it's a strain having to muscle it just to get a decent yield. The difference is that this grinder has a dragon tooth burr design that makes the grinding process incredibly smooth and effortless. One last note is their excellent customer service! We really appreciate their assistance in helping us get a replacement glass jar for our grinder. We are super grateful for their customer support team, and we definitely recommend this coffee grinder for those looking for a quality product.

This grinder is worth every penny. I swear it makes my usual coffee beans taste better when ground in number six, the coarsest grind, for my french press coffee maker. I suppose I must attribute that to the fact that as an adjustable conical burr grinder, each particulate of coffee drops down more or less in a uniform size, rather than more random with the electric blade grinder I used to use. Never more to use, though. I fill the top compartment up completely with coffee beans, then force the grinding top down upon the beans and start grinding. And that almost fills up the glass container. Than quantity, with glass jar completely filled becomes exactly 4 ounces, or one half of a cup. The glass jar works great so that one can see exactly how much coffee has been ground up. The danger, though, is that, if dropped, it might break. I dropped mine and the glass jar broke. But, all is not lost because, thankfully, when I started using the marvelous grinder I took the time to experiment and discover the glass jar capacity when filled to capacity with coffee beans. I sent an email to the Vivaant store asking to purchase another jar, hoping that is a possibility. But, if not, I'll just grind away directly into my french press-but carefully. Breaking the jar was my fault. The jar needs to be glass so as to be able to see the contents. I just needed to be more careful. So I still rated my new grinder at five stars. And I would give it more if I could. IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Additional updte: Vivaant contacted me and offered a replacement jar without the measurement markings, that they had and offered to sens it to me. They answered my email the very day I sent it off. So, how was that for customer service? They are trying to set up the way to order replacement glass jars and I suppose they will one day become available for the fumble fingered among us to order replacements for our broken jars. I keep using the grinder without the jar, just keeping the bottom of the grinder inside my french press to collect the ground beans. But it is not as easy to do, although doable. However, even under less than ideal conditions the grinder still really works well. I'm still impressed! Second Additional update: I've been using it now for a couple of months and it still functions flawlessly for me. Even though I still have the glass jar I no longer use it. I bypass it and grind without it. Since I know how much coffee results from grinding a full load of coffee beans, I just load it, hold it tightly over my stainless french press and grind away. I admit occasionally I must shake it sightly to keep the beans against the burr grinder but it works so well otherwise it is just a minor inconvenience. When the load is finished, I open it and toss it some more beans to give my mixture a slightly stronger brew, and grind them into the press as well. I did not even need the glass jar. I no longer even use it. What an amazing grinder! It still looks brand new. So, "YES", IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY I spent for it! I threw away the electric grinder I had as I know I'll never use it again.

This amazing little bean grinder was perfect for us when we are camping off the grid. It does a perfect job every time and is so nice and compact. It would fit in any luggage also for those traveling light and want to enjoy a fresh ground coffee where ever they are. Well made and excellent value!

Great product. The grind is consistent and easy to change from fine to coarse. It is exactly what I was looking for.

Static in jar holds coffee. But does a good job.
