The Hugging Tree: A Story about Resilience

I loved this book and it taught a wonderful message. It’s about a tree struggling to survive, but with a little bit of help and a little bit of love it blossomed and loved by many.

Purchased for my bestfriend son after his grandfather was diagnosed with cancer. It’s a beautiful book.

This is a beautifully illustrated book, with a lovely story about resilience. I have used it in my Y5 class though would suit much younger children as well. Brilliant length to be able to read and talk about in a 30 minute lesson, got great discussion in class from it.

I was not really sure what I had ordered. I fell in love with the book. It teaches about experiencing difficult times, finding comfort, and receiving love from surprising sources. Learning that it is ok to be different, push when it is hard and know that in all things there is great beauty! Story telling ages to adults

A lovely book that communicates the message of resilience clearly to children 5 and up. I used it in an assembly and the children could identify why the tree was resilient. It also helps communicate the message that you can have support from others to help you be resilient!
