baleaf Men's 7" Running Shorts with Mesh Liner Zipper Pocket for Athletic Workout Gym

I love these workout shorts! I bought two pairs, and liked them so much that I bought a third pair. I'm a 34 waist, and the size Medium fits perfectly. The material is very lightweight and quick-drying, and the interior liner provides just the right amount of support. I was initially concerned that the inseam would be too long (I'm a runner, and tend to like slightly shorter inseams to allow freedom of movement), but the material is so lightweight that I barely notice it. Also, my wife says that these look a lot better than some of my shorter-inseam running shorts. The back pocket is not quite big enough to comfortably carry my phone (Galaxy S4), but it works great for carrying keys, some cash, or some energy bar pouches. I just wish they would make these in more colors. I've got one in each color, and I would probably buy a couple more if they had more colors. PS> I paid full price for them. I am more excited about these shorts than any other Amazon purchase in the past 6 months. Finally - a pair of running shorts with a zippered pocket where I can fit my iPhone 6!!! I am so excited about these that I ordered 2 more pair today. All the other shorts I've tried with pockets either only have side pockets, where my phone flops too much for running, or have a zippered pocket in the pack that is too small for my iPhone. With these shorts, the pocket is the perfect size for an iPhone. It's also centered over the butt, so the phone stays balanced and I can forget it's there while I'm running. I use Bluetooth headphones to play music and it has greatly elevated my running experience. The shorts are also lightweight and comfortable - very light feeling. They are also fairly priced for a high quality running short. Nike shorts are nearly double this price, and do not have the pocket feature. I highly recommend.

I've ran in these shorts a few times already and so far they are still holding up. The material feels good and lightweight, as expected for running shorts. I originally ordered the 5" Baleaf shorts, but they were too sort for my preference. These sit just above the knee on me (I'm just under 6 feet, FYI). They have two side pockets, with no zippers, and one zippered pocket in the back. The back pocket is about 4" long and 5.5" at the widest part, as it tapers towards the bottom. It seems to be meant for small items only (keys, small mp3 players, etc.). For reference, I have an iPhone 6, with a case, and it does not fit in the back pocket. But based on the dimensions of the phone itself, it should fit without the case. You may have to shove it in there though. I haven't tried it, as I don't like running with my phone anyway. On my first run with these, I tested them out with just the included inner liner. I usually run with compression shorts underneath, but wanted to see how these compared. Unfortunately, the inner liner was not as supportive. Not a big deal for me though. I personally like things not to jump around while I run, so like other reviewers, I cut out the liner and continued running with compression shorts. The liner was surprisingly tough to cut though! They also ride up in the middle/crotch area, but that seems to be the case for all lightweight/running shorts, based on what I've read. Less so with compression shorts, but there's still some ride-up. So I won't hold that against these. Aside from the included liner not "holding" up, these shorts are pretty good overall.

Baleaf has been my go to brand for awhile. I like the durability and color of the fabric. This was my 5th pair of shirts and the first in 6 years; i.e. they last quite awhile

I generally like shorts that are slightly above the knee, but I'm not someone to wear short-shorts. When I look for running or workout gear, I find that this can sometimes be an issue as most things I find at the big-name athletic stores are either knee-length or extra short. To that end, I was very happy when I found these as they appeared to be a good compromise in length. But there's so much more good to say about them than just how long they are. I purchased these for working out but after receiving them, I found myself grabbing them to wear around the house, go running, workout, do yard work, and anything else I would normally wear shorts for. They're my go-to, and I wait for them to come out of the dryer so I can wear them again. The material is nice and breathable and has some good stretch to it so it never feels confining. Same goes for the waistband, which is snug and doesn't let the shorts slip down while also not strangling your waist or causing red marks. The pockets are a good size, and the back pocket with a zipper is great for running. My iPhone XS Max with a thin case on it is a tight fit, but it does go in. The only thing I would say to consider about these is the mesh liner. Personally, I like it. The leg bands and overall fit are snug without being overly tight and do a great job keeping everything in place. But I'm also a guy that likes to wear briefs as my everyday underwear so I'm used to that sort of feel. I have worn these over boxer briefs and compression shorts, and the fit was still fine. But if you're someone who likes to go commando or wear loose boxers, just be prepared for a little confinement down there. Overall, I would highly recommend these. I ordered one pair initially and will definitely be purchasing more soon.

Great shorts. Excellent material - light, breathable, and flexible. I wasn't too sure about these at first because the internal briefs were a little smaller than what I would prefer. But after numerous runs they have broken in and feel great. If you're on the large side of Medium on the size scale it would probably be worth going up to the L.
