I have a selection of decent BT speakers, and they all sound good (JBL). But I wanted something for outside that has a little punch to it, is waterproof, and doesn't radiate the sound in a 360-degree style like the beer can shaped ones. I wanted something shaped like a boombox that fires the speakers "forward" that has a rugged handle, and not a strap. The directional design, by a wall, and my neighbors won't hear much. If I stand behind it, approx where my neighbors sit on their deck, it's muted. But go in front of it, where I sit, it's very rich and clear. So I took a flyer on this, and I'm impressed. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's heavy(ish) and rugged for out on a patio or on the dock, or wherever you hang out. The sound is very good, I haven't had it up to "max" because i unboxed it at night and took it outside to where i intend to use it, but it was more than adequate for where I plan to keep it. I don't blast it, but i do turn it up. My phone took to it immediately, no funny business. And if I have a few and forgetfully leave it out in the rain, no big deal. I'd definitely buy another if I left it at the beach or whatever, it's a good unit.

Was in Vegas for a reunion with my Marines I was in Iraq with back in 2004. To see a 50 cent concert, because my boys mom “loved me some 50 cent” so we stayed at Planet Hollywood where the show was and the halls were like a mile long it seemed. So I get off the elevator and the floor I’m on, I hear this music blaring… and I’m like how rude to play your music this loud. And who would bring such a stereo to a hotel?, just negatively thinking how I wouldn’t want to be that guys neighbor. So after the mile walk, I get to my buddies room, and it’s him! Haha. So I’m like that music is ridiculously loud and he shows me the Vocboom. He was like 60 bucks on Amazon! I brought two! They are so loud and clear! I have two Harmon Kardon onyx’s and that the only thing better but my vocbooms are my favorites. I’m not taking my HKOs anywhere but my vocbooms can go and give be enough richness in sound as to where I don’t feel left out! Being between the two vocbooms, it’s a concert hall! Haven’t been this impressed with a purchase in a while. In fact, they inspired me to get my HKOs and strive for better sounding and quality speakers. And these guys are really reliable and have a great quality sound especially when paired!

Excellent product. I purchased 1 of these to try it out and found that it is very durable and well built. Sound is quite good for a small carry box. I originally purchased for use at my poolside and I liked it so much I bought a second one to pair with the first for a stereo surround system. It works really well for that and pairs with your bluetooth source pretty seamlessly. Good base sound for a small device. Only struggle that I had was when setting up 2 of them to pair together, it is not totally obvious on how to make the pairing work. Turns out you bluetooth 1 device to the source and then pair the second device to the first using some built in capability. I have noticed excellent battery life but would be nice to have some sort of indicator besides my phone telling me the device battery level. The simplicity of the design is just 4 buttons but when pairing there is not a lot of feedback. Once you get it setup, it works great.

This would probably make a great budget speaker for just streaming music at a party, which is what it's advertised for. I'm looking for something I can use as a travel speaker for live music performance, and this doesn't do it. There's a bit too much latency even using wired aux, and there's annoying internal rattling and resonances at even medium volume when I try to play nuanced sounds. I can improve it a bit by EQing my master output, but it's not ideal. Great for most, but for me, the hunt continues...

This thing is awesome. I bought it for an outdoor birthday party. We had people in the pool and on inflatable water slides making all kinds of noise. You can hear the speaker easily over everyone. Then the rain hit and it poured- I forgot the speaker outside and it played through the rainstorm and was fully functional after. Great price for a small speaker that packs a lot of punch. It was super easy to use- just charge and connect your Bluetooth.

We just got back from a week long camping trip and this speaker performed like a champ. I didn't push it so hard that I can verify the claimed 32 hour battery life, but I only put it on a solar charger a couple times during the week and that was just to try and top off, the unit never lost power even with long and loud use. Probably the longest run between charges was pounding out tunes while we had an 8 hour float down the river followed by another 5 hours of music and adult beverages back at the campsite.Sound quality is very good and the Bluetooth connection seemed solid at 40-50 feet from a variety of devices. The unit is pretty rugged and definitely waterproof (this was actually replacing a virtually identical Aomis speaker I got 5 years ago that lost its seal after a nasty tumble from a moving vehicle).For the price and performance, I like this set.

I LOVE THIS SPEAKER I listen to it every time I clean house I get my self in trouble because I dance a lot too when I should be cleaning I love how loud it is my son says “why so loud”
