Just what I was looking for!
The Space 1999 Eagle is exactly what I have been looking for! It is an outstanding replica, well detailed and constructed. Many years ago, I had one of the nearly 3 foot long Eagle playsets with action figures. I've long regretted letting it go and have been trying to find something to replace it in my sci-fi collection. Those playsets and the 1970s produced die cast ships are usually in the hundreds of dollars while this one cost me around $65 thanks to an instant coupon (around the same cost as the Eaglemoss XL Star Trek ships I have purchased). I can't be happier with this purchase! I might have to consider buying the variant models as well.

Eagle One Space 1999
This is a great looking model 10 inches long , highly detailed and well built. I have an extensive Star Trek Starship collection ranging between 8-11 inches. This is my first Eagle purchase and plan on setting a Space 1999 display up next to the Starship collection.

Fairly accurate, well-done die-cast...
Eaglemoss has some history and reputation for making quality repro items of iconic starships. The S:1999 items are very well done. Even knowing Eaglemoss' quality, the original releases of these were - I felt - overpriced. At one point, these were on sale at just under $30 - an outstanding, perfect price for what I knew would be a quality miniature. So: fantastic model, meant strictly for viewing (e.g. NOT sturdy metal), but well-detailed resin, accurate... maybe not @ $80, but definitely buy multiples @ $30.

Avid collector or anything space sci-fi, eagle moss has produced some of the best detail ships I have come found.

A Great Little Model to Own
It looks great, it is sturdy and does not look like a toy. At first I thought it was on the small side but it grew on me. You can keep it in plain view and it makes a great conversation piece

Why Is It Taupe?
I saw another reviewer asking "Why is it grey?", but it's not only grey, it's pretty much taupe. Sorry, but the Eagles weren't taupe - not on screen, not the actual models, and not in the photographs of this model.Oddly, the window inserts on the nosecone are also painted a dark grey instead of black, although the diamonds around the thrusters on the pods actually are painted black. Given that the model body is taupe the nosecone really looks odd with the inserts painted dark grey instead of black - not nearly enough contrast. The detailing is pretty well done apart from that. The model seems solid enough. It's certainly an improvement over the Dinky models of the '70s - although the passenger pod isn't removable. I'm just not sure why the colors are whacked. Kinda ruins what would otherwise be an awesome product.
