OttLite13W Craft Space Organizer - Portable, Compact, Desk Organizer

Got my lamp last week and I am loving it! First of all, the turquoise color is so fun and happy! The light is very bright and truly shows colors well. I have used it a few times for handheld sewing projects and repairs. It's great for seeing fine detail. It's also fantastic for reading, with little glare and no eye strain. The storage space is handy for supplies and for holding small pieces so they don't roll off the table when I'm working. The only thing I think they could improve is the switch on the cord. It would have been a bit nicer to have a switch or button on the lamp head or even on the base. Other than that, this lamp is a great buy for the price.

I love this lamp. I honestly had no idea how bad the lighting was in my craft room until I started using this lamp. The light is bright and makes it super easy for me to compare colors and see where to sew next. Also, helps when I need to use my seam ripper to rip out a seam and start over. The price is really good for what you get. Also, the lamp has a nifty storage area that I am using to hold my scissors. I'm not sure what else to put in there yet but I'm thinking it will be a great lamp for my daughter to use when she is doing her doodle art work. She can store pencils and markers and will be able to tell her colors very easily. I received this lamp as a free gift to try however, I am not letting that sway my terrific opinion of this lamp. I would definitely have bought it if I had know it was a such a great value for the money.

Right out of the package, the OttLite X12478 13W Craft Space Organizer has been a helping hand in my jewelry making work space. The best thing about this light is that it is not just another thing on my table, but rather a light that helped me organize my space. (I was actually able to recycle some of the jars and boxes that were previously holding tools and materials on my table, so now I have more space to work.) Another bonus is that the organizer is stepped, so my tools don't get lost at the bottom of the bowl.As I began to work under the OttLite, I was able to see the true colors in the small little seed beads. It also made it seem to be day light even as I worked late into the night. I also liked the flexibility to move the light in any direction.

I love this lamp. Plus: the light is bright, the containers hold far more than I expected, and the little trays around the bottom provide additional storage for small items. Minus: it's a little hard to focus the light because the neck is very stiff, but I've learned to do it and love it now. Because of the stiffness, the lamp stays in place and doesn't "sag" to the table, as some cheaper lights do. I wish there were one taller/deeper storage area for my scissors. They stay in place, but only if I lay them over into the next storage compartment. My complains are minor. I really like the lamp and would purchase again!

I've bought two of them! The first one was for my Aunt for Christmas and I loved it so much I purchased another one for myself! It's awesome!! I bought it for our sewing rooms and we love them! The storage and lighting its great!

This light is awesome! At first, I really thought about it and wondered if it was crazy to get a light that was this expensive. However, I feel it is one of the best purchases I have made for my various crafts.The light is very bright, you don't have to worry about that at all! It also bathes the objects in natural light, so you can see their true color. Great for coordinating colors and taking pictures. The base is handy to store items that are used more frequently, and the swivel arm is sturdy and moves enough to bend however you want - and stays that way until you move it again!I highly recommend this light.

This thing was much bigger than expected, but luckily I was able to find a place for it on my desk. The lighting is great quality and I love the organizing space. I also like that the "shade" rotates fully around the light. However, there's a couple issues.1. I can hear electrical noise when it's turned on. I work in a quiet room and it's basically right next to me, so it's very noticeable.2. The goose neck isn't quite strong enough. I can put it in to a decent position (though not quite the position I want), but if I bump it at all it falls out of place.Those two issues are pretty important to me, so it knocks down the stars a bit. I don't plan to return it, since it works, but I will probably need to go with a different model or brand in the future.

This light provides exactly what I needed in my crafting space. It is bright but not hot. The neck Allie’s for easy manipulation so I get light exactly where I need it. The price was great as well!
