The first thing I noticed when I opened the packaging is the quality of this product. It comes in a handy and sturdy case, inside the case is the strobe, 2 spare O rings, instruction leaflet and a warranty card. The strobe itself has a feel of quality about it and the best things for me are the fact that it is not made of cheap throw away plastic and it uses a re chargeable AAA battery which are easy and cheap to purchase. The strobe is easy to use with a simple twist of the body this also allows you to see if it is working before you get into the water unlike others that have to get wet in order to work. The light is very bright and will be a good piece of kit when diving in restricted visibility. I will add to this review when I use it on my next dive.

Very impressed with this strobe. It's quite bright, robust and looks well made, thus quite happy with this purchase. It's not water activated, which means you can turn it on and off anytime underwater, with less than 1/4 turn. It comes with a small lanyard, but to be sure I'm not loosing it while driving, I've attached it to a metal clip.

Agree with all reviewers here; build quality is pretty good, but having spent a week diving southern Red Sea I'd point out: 1. It's really not that bright - certainly no "beacon" - really only OK for night dives in really good visibility (10M+) 2. Negative buoyancy - this thing is pretty compact and dense. Placement then becomes an issue as its always dangling off your kit rather than floating above your tank Given that you should have torch + spare torch underwater I'm not sure this represents a good addition to your dive kit.

I bought this for a present for my dad with him diving when he goes on holiday he loves it and it works really well.

edit: The owner reached out and offered a refund and then never responded since then. FYI ( I am still willing to return it for refund on owners cost? ) Bought this used from amazon warehouse, the brightness is terrible. So forever done the returns for this is terrible. Not going to return it as it was only 13 euro. It would cost me more to return it via post. Gonna to give it away to one it away instead to a club member.

Strobe light worked well down to 15m in 3-10m visibility for 1 hour dive time. Twist on and off worked ok. Important to remember to switch off immediately after the dive to save battery. Used only once so far. Long term management and sea use an unknown

Great little compact size, double o-ring seal on the battery compartment… After my last outing where I had to run my torch on strobe mode to help keep the group together, this was a no brainer Little video of it at the back of six in the morning to let you see how it glows, will update after getting it in the water, but the kids cold have put pay to that at the moment

Shows up well underwater. Although was very stiff to open, but nothing a little silicone couldn't fix.

Aufgrund unserer positiven Erfahrung mit Unterwasserlampen von Orcatorch haben wir uns diese Blinklichter angeschafft, um uns gegenseitig in größeren Gruppen oder in dunklem Wasser besser wiederzufinden und zu erkennen. Die Lampen sind genial, dank 2 Dichtringen absolut wasserdicht und blinken zuverlässig hell. Das stabile Gehäuse ist sehr robust gearbeitet und verspricht eine lange Lebensdauer. Sehr empfehlenswert

J'utilise le mini flasher orcatorch sd01 sur ma stab depuis 1 mois et demi maintenant, de jour comme de nuit. Il est très pratique et permet de se signaler aux autres membres de la palanquée. J'ai fait une dizaine de plongées sans avoir à changer la pile. Par ailleurs sans que cela ne soit précisé, il s'agit de la version 01 pro qui est une évolution plus lumineuse que la précédente. Je recommande chaudement à tous les plongeurs.
