Sold by Spreetail = refurbished
The dehumidifier works fine and seems to be in a good condition, but it is a refurbished unit (bought from seller Spreetail). As of the date I'm writing this, that was not disclosed anywhere on the Amazon product page and it's information I'd have preferred to have before buying it.

Wow! It's making a difference on just day 2!
I was suspicious of the humidity released by the dishwasher--which runs 1-2x/day. My townhouse is 1500sqft. I bought the 35 pt/3000sqft unit. I emptied it this morning. And this afternoon I've emptied it again as it was 2/3 full (after showers and dishwasher).I saw another poster's complaints and photos re: bent fins, I'll admit there are some bent fins. However, I'm hoping that this is not too many bent given the comparison with the other poster's photos. And this better last more than a year! I have it on full blast this summer during thunderstorm season.

worked well while it lasted. customer service is a joke.
we bought two of these due to high humidity conditions since they were a good price ($160) at the time. they were working very well and pulling over 3 gallons or more of water out of the air a day each without issue. all dehumidifiers make noise and given that its in a basement we hardly noticed so i can not really agree with the noise complaint unless you plan to put it in a bedroom or office. the main issue i have is that one stopped working (fan worked but either the evaporator or condenser failed) less than 2 months after purchasing while the other is still working fine. as received one also had an issue with the full level switch where the bucket filled to the very top making it hard to empty but i had no issue with that given the price. we contacted customer service and after being given a run around asking questions again that i already answered they stated that they would be contacting me further about replacement. over 2 weeks later and still no word from them. its not a bad product for the money when it works but i am very disappointed in the customer service regarding replacement of something that failed in under 2 months.if it kept working for me and customer service was easier to deal with it would have been a solid 5 star product but with a failure in under 2 months and the run around on replacing the unit i just can not give it more than a 3 out of 5.

Totally shocked at just how much water this Keystone Dehumifier collect in just one day. Wow.
Humidity has been an issue this year and after looking at the reviews we opted for the Keystone 50 Pint Dehumidifier. Positive aspects are it lives up to the specs and the entire collection bucket is near 90% full after running overnight. The "Comfort" setting is a one menu button, set it and forget it. Automatically maintains the humidity from 45%-55%, seems to stick around the range of 43%. As for the packaging and unboxing. The unit was shipped with ample foam and even had a pull off box top for easy unboxing. Also has excellent instructions. Overall, impressed and confident this was the unit to get for 4500 sq ft coverage.Negatives: It's a bit louder than expected, but no worse than a window air conditioner sound level due to the compressor. Best setting is the "Comfort" to ease of use.Since now having this new Dehumidifier I've emptied it four times each with at least 1.7 Gallons of water collected.I wish all products were as good as this Keystone all the way from the packaging to the user manual to the operation. It is wrong to love a Dehumidifier :)

The difference is in the bucket.
Yes this is a noisy piece of equipment without a doubt. It maneuvers well & functions well right out of the box. What is key to me is the ability to clean the bucket. It doesn't have a plastic cover that is impossible to remove for cleaning purposes. It's purpose (to close off the humidity coming from the collected water) may be a good one, but the drawback is that it's real hard to clean. So if that's important to you & you don't mind the noise, this one's for you.

Works great
This is a great humidifier. My only complaint is the tank. It’s difficult to remove and the water level is so high in the tank that it spills on the floor every time we change it.

Pulls water out just like it says.
This thing is amazing. We have a 3 level home, 5,000 sq ft. We also love in Missouri where humidity gets crazy high. We knew it wasn't going to cover our entire home, especially since it was 3 levels. We keep it down in our basement by the staircase. It has definitely changed the way our musty basement smelled. It feels and smells dry. We noticed that when we keep it closer to the stairs it helps the humidity on the main floor too. Our thermostat says it's 37% on our main floor when the machine is down stairs. Which we think is pretty good for it not being on this floor. We don't notice the humidity in the upper level so we're not too worried about it. It is pretty loud but boy does it pull water. We dump it 3 times a day when we run it all day long. It's also 90% humidity outside. We are very Happy with our purchase.

Inexpensive Workhorse
Impressed, and certainly so in this price range. Took my 1800 sq/ft basement from 58% to 43% humidity in under 90 mins...I don't know how much under 90 mins., as I assumed it would need longer to make a big difference so didn't check! It did raise the 72 degree ambient temperature (no a.c./heat running) by about 5 degrees, which I expected -- and is a minor trade-off to quickly get rid of musty smell and feel. I put it on a timer, and depending how often doors are opened allowing "fresh" humidity to the area, need to run it about 1 hour every 3-4 hours to keep it under 50% when outside relative humidity is a little over 60%, if run longer, I've gotten it to 37%. I don't use the drain tube, and it's not a huge chore to empty at our RH levels, but in very humid climates using the continual drain might prove necessary. Finally, comes assembled, and moves easily on it's castors (with a small dose of common sense to avoid tipping!) even on thick carpet. I'll revise this review if I have any premature problems with the unit. So far, it's a workhorse.
