Perfect pink!
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, even after reading all the reviews. This is the pastel pink and I absolutely love it! Easy to apply, not messy, and so easy to comb through even without conditioner after the rinse. My only complaint is the gloves seem small enough for only elf hands. Will definitely buy again!

I love this stuff and have used it for years!
I have used this stuff for years, its been my go-to product whenever I want to spice up my hair with a fun new color.I figured I'd share some of my insights from using this for so long in case it helps anybody else:1. It truly is temporary and a good amount comes out with each wash, try to limit how often you wash your hair. With that said you have a little tint left for a while, even after it says it should have completely washed out (this is typically when I re-dye it).2. Your shower will become an entirely new color if you aren't careful, BUT it easily washes away by either soaking your tub in bleach water for like an hour OR just leaving it there and waiting until it goes away from your hair washes. I typically just leave the tint (mine is blue) in my tub and with 2-3 washes the entire blue tint is gone. If it gets on the shower walls though that's a different story and I'd use a bleach based lysol wipe or bathroom cleaner on those.3. It will die your pillow cases. Thankfully it does come out when you soak in shout or oxyclean, but if I were you I'd just switch my pillow case to a darker color or one that matches your dye so its not obvious and doesn't mess up your pillow case.4. I think throughout the years the formula has been changed/updated, because I remember when the instructions said to put the dye on dirty dry hair. Now it wants clean wet hair. I personally see better color results from doing the older method of "dirty" dry hair. My hair isn't grimy and gross, but its not freshly clean. I also sit with it in my hair for at least 45 minutes before rinsing out. I'm not a hair expert, so this could totally be doing something bad to my hair that I don't know about, but it gives me better color and hasn't had any sort of negatives yet.5. Cover your surface with something you can throw away. This may seem obvious, but the first time I did it I made a huge mess and it stained my white bathroom counter and took forever to get clean. Just in case it isn't obvious put a trash bag or paper grocery bag over your surface to save yourself a headache.

Protip: Do the test first
I've tried three colors-- Burgundy, Maroon, and Tangerine-- with only the latter purchased on Amazon. My hair is a dirty blonde color closer to my face, fading to a tiny bit darker color in the back, and has a few grey strands in front. I don't bleach first because I just wanted a hint of color, and that's what I get-- my hair is porous and takes the color pretty well. There's not a lot of staining on clothes and sheets, but I also tend to just let water go through it until it runs clear after the first 'treatment' so maybe that helps? The Maroon fades the slowest, to a washed out mauve, and is my least fave. Gave the first tube away after using about half because I was working at a place that gave me the side eye for having 'weird hair'. During the pandemic I said eff it and tried again. The Burgundy is really lovely and rich. Just applied the Tangerine for the first time and oh wow. Really like how it looks-- will probably reapply the maroon to the ends to get a sunset effect.Title is 'do the test first' because I've never done the strand test or allergy test before, and I don't dye my whole head because I like the look of just the ends being colored, but after this last round with the Tangerine I can totally see why they tell you to do it. Some of the dye spilled out of my gloved hands and I scooped it up with the brush and applied it that way-- I hate wasting things and it was about a Tbsp of dye. I got a bit of it on my ear and wiped it off. It stung a little but it passed. My scalp, the spot on my neck where hair brushed by, and a patch on my throat, all burn. Like a lot. Literally sitting here typing this with an ice pack balanced on my head-- my posture has never been better. *lol* Might post a picture later if Amazon lets you add photos to a review after posting. So yeah. If you're thinking of doing your whole head, DO. THE TEST. FIRST.ETA: Gave it 4 stars because the gloves are utter crap-- they actually make the dying process harder and messier because they're so huge and floppy. I realize some folks can have a latex allergy, and for all I know the dye might interact poorly with latex so there's probably not another viable option, but the gloves really are the worst.UPDATE (1/20/22): I've shampooed my hair more than a few times since I first posted and there is STILL red in the ends of my hair. Not even kidding about this.

Wrong color in box.
I have been using this product for about 10 years. I use the color light blue colorista blue600 but it has been unavailable for about 2 years. I guess they discontinued it. Imagine how delighted I was to find this color on this page. I ordered 10 boxes. The package arrived and the boxes inside looked alittle beaten up and were wrapped inmasses of what looked like a kitchen plastic wrap. Today I decided to use this beautiful light blue color. I opened a box and immediately knew that this color was wrong. I have tried every single ColoRista over the years trying to find something like the light blue. So the box is right but the color is incorrect. It is actually the Indego500. which is a very purple...ish color. I hate it. It stains everything it touches. The sink the shower hands and face. Now the light blue will also stain alittle but nothing that doesn't wash off with soap amd water. This stuff today stained and needed major scrubbing with ajax. and I still have pruple spots. Well I have sent it all back. Of course I had to open 3 boxes before I established that they all contained the same color. The minute I opened the lid I knew it was wrong. The blue600 is a very defined blue this was a very bright purple. Now I don't quite understand why they have the wrong color in the boxes, but they do. They must have been repacked at some point. Lets see what they say about this. More to come.
