Great for the price point
I've been using the machine for three months now and I'm pretty happy with it. It is a simple rowing machine, nothing fancy about it, but it gets the job done. I live in a small house with roommates and this machine fits in my room well. It is a little hard for me to move around, but I have never had such a hard time with it that it keeps me from working out. It's not the stupidest machine, and for me that's fine since I have a petite frame, but if you are a large dude or something this may not be great for you. For where I am in life right now, and simply wanting the machine for a nice variation in my full body workouts, it's perfect. If you are simply wanting a small machine at a really economical price point that will simply just let you row and get the job done, this is the machine for you.

Great purchase
I bought this as a second-life item. It was „used - like new“ so it was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. But it was basically new. It seems to have been an opened box but the machine was brand new and all parts were still wrapped and untouched. So this was an amazing deal. It was a little tedious to put together, but not impossible. It took me (I’m a not very strong and handy woman) about an hour to have the whole thing unboxed and put together, if I remember correctly. The machine itself seems like great quality (especially for the price) and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It has 8 resistance settings and I think they are fine and strong enough.

Good value but not for high power work-out
This review for Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5622 Dual Function Magnetic Rowing Machine. What I like:Good value. Near Silent mechanism, so I can watch videos while using it. Folds up easily - saves space. Front casters make moving around easier. 2 position footrest locations. Footrests are sturdy. Standup exercise arm curls possible. Can improve on:Magnetic resistance could be a bit light (even at maximum setting of 9) for a strong person who wants a more powerful, intense work-out. For me it is ok, I am doing more aerobic, 1000 strokes sessions. If you want a short, high resistance workout, this may not be for you. The seat feels a bit uncomfortable after 30 minutes. I found a solution – I wear my biking shorts with built-in seat cushion. I found the standup arm curling position not that useful. I have free weights which work much better for arms. If you don’t then this machine may be a good alternative. The assembly is not hard, takes about 15 minutes. Shipment is quite heavy, like 75 pounds. All tools are provided. After assembly, I had to move the foot rests to the lower position because my knees were hitting the row bar. The monitor display very simple info. (Ok for me as I only care about Strokes and ET.)

Quiet to use. Easy set up. I watch scenic videos for a virtual actual workout
I am so pleased with this machine. I have wanted one for years and I am not disappointed with this one.It is relatively quiet, the seat sliding back and forth is the loudest part on it.I am 5’ 6” and it is a good fit for me. I often use it while watching baseball games on TV. If I am using it when I am not watching something, I bring up YouTube and there are plenty of scenic videos and videos from a canoe, or kayak, or stand up paddle board (SUP). Some videos even have a clock in the bottom corner of the screen that shows how long you have been rowing. I really like the videos as I row.I use my Apple Watch on indoor rowing. I set it for 15 or 30 minutes and it reads out to me when I get half-way and when I am done.Set-up was not too difficult. I just took it in the sections and steps set out in the book. The parts you need to use are labeled on the part they are packed on. It has the tools, although I did use my own socket wrench for part of it.I definitely recommend this product.

It’s a great machine and feels sturdy.
It wasn’t quite easy but doable. It’s maneuvered only while the seat portion is still extended. Doesn’t make sense to me but it’s ok. The holes and knob does not easily screw in for the storage position. I have a problem every time. The function of the rower is great. I especially purchased this model for its stand up use, upper body. The screen can be more intuitive. Not readily understood.

Good Value
I had some difficulty putting this together because some of the parts were numbered wrong. But it wasn't too hard to figure out. This rowing machine is perfect for people who are just getting into fitness or looking for an affordable piece of equipment. It feels sturdy and durable. It's quiet too.I rowed for 20 mins my first workout and I was really happy with the experience. Everything just felt smooth. When I was first looking for a rowing machine, I was going to buy a 400 dollar one. I'm really glad I went with this one though. The only thing I really don't like is the LCD screen for the workout data. It's pretty low tech but again this is a cheaper option.Rowing is a full body cardio workout with zero impact, perfect for people with lower back or knee problems. I recommend rowing for people who are older or very overweight specifically, because they can get a good cardio workout without putting a lot of stress on the joints. Just keep in mind that this machine has a weight limit. I would recommend this thing to anyone!

Good basic rower, weak resistance
This is the initial review following assembly and about one week of use.Assembly was straightforward; instructions could have been a bit more clear, but tools were included and there were few enough parts and few enough kinds of screws that I was never in doubt about what to do.The seat had a bit of a crack on the underside, if that ever causes an issue, I'll downgrade, but it's been working fine so far.The rower work, and works well. The two cons:* resistance is extremely weak. I have it on it's highest settings and can barely feel the difference. About twice the resistance would have been required for a higher rating.* The foot pedals are slightly misshapen (not a show stopper), but the bands that are supposed to fix the feet to the pedals have way too little in terms of velcro. I have huge feet, but even when I fasten them as tightly as possible, there is too much play and I easily slip out.
