Obtuse Instructions
My friend bought this pattern. She has been sewing for 40 plus years and is a good seamstress. She about pulled her hair out trying to follow these directions. With consultation and YouTube videos, she was able to make the cartridge pleats. At one point the instructions said if you don’t understand the hood pleating, then just gather it. They expected their instructions to be ineffectual! On the bright side, it is almost finished and looks beautiful and authentic and wonderful.
