Easy to use. Looks and feels a quality product. With stop start batteries and computers controlling so many systems a more sophisticated solution seems to be a good idea. I connected it to the terminals and let it get on with the job. Indicator lights tell you when it’s finished. To be honest, I bought it because I went to get my wife from the station and when she arrived, the car wouldn’t start. It was late at night and the RAC recovery couldn’t get to the car until early the next day so I had to leave it where it was. The guy from the RAC (brilliant guy extremely nice, extremely helpful) told me after questioning my use of the car that I wasn’t using the car enough to keep the battery fully charged and he advised me to buy a sophisticated battery charger and put it on charge once every couple of weeks to bring the battery up to full strength. So that’s why I bought it.

Have used it to charged multiple cars now including two start/stop engines. Have used all 3 mode (normal/agm/recondition) as I've used it to recondition an older car battery now and everything appears to be working as it should. A required tool especially if you are in lockdown for several months and may not drive your car very often since you might be working from home. CTEK have videos on their website to show you how to use it, but there isn't much to it as it's mainly plug and play and knowing which mode to use which is self explanatory. Hardest part would be knowing where your battery is in your car, or the battery charging connection points are (some BMW for instance you don't connect to the battery directly). Very simple to use. Can be used to 'jump start' your car if you need it relatively soonish but it depends on how much battery you had left, otherwise you would still need to leave in on charge for up to 30 minutes before driving to jump start it. It estimates how long you have left to charge on your car but it's not very accurate. It is safe to keep your car battery connected 24-7 so it really isn't an issue most of the time. You'd probably have to leave it connected for a day to allow it to fully charge anyhow. Knocking it down a star for being very expensive. Prices fluctuates quite a bit from £70 to almost £100. Probably still worth it if you have multiple or more expensive cars sitting the garage.

Really useful. You can switch the modes to suit different batteries. So I charge my VW Transporter t6 using the 12 v socket adapter (an extra to buy) plugged into the dashboard for the vans EFB start stop battery using AGM mode and use it on another car with a traditional battery using the traditional mode using croc clips. All good and simple.
