Usb-a std vers on win10 takes webex and teams about 4 minutes to connect with device connected, but instant without. not using hub. any ideas?

As a first step we would suggest you to test one soft phone at a time, making sure the other one is not running in the background. If possible try uninstalling one, like Webex for example. Review the soft phone versions you have for Webex and Teams. Test the computer with a different USB device and see if you still get the same issue on Webex and Teams. I am unable to adjust the volume in small increments - it goes from 0 to 24 for example. Is this a limitation of the speaker or a compatibility issue?

I'm hearing sound while mute/unmute, i did turn off that in poly lens, is that sound heard by people in call?

You can choose between three different options to customize the Mute alert whenever you press the button. You should be able to choose between double tone, single tone and a voice prompt. These alerts cannot be heard by people on the other end.
