I like this product
Here's my third go around with splints for my bunion. There was nothing wrong with either of the other products I purchased, they just wore out. Don't expect years of bad habits (tight shoes, high heels, small toe box) to disappear without years of good habits (toe exercises, posture changes, bigger shoes, bunion splints.)I like this set I got because for the price, it was less than the cost of just one bunion splint on the last product I bought. While I won't name names, the heftier, more expensive product did have a padded piece of metal which was more severe a splint than this one. That product was good for wearing overnight, but it was too puffy to wear in shoe during the day. While this product is more flexible, less severe, I like that I can use it all day.I also like the extras, the little jelly toe separators are wonderfully comfortable and totally prevent my big toe from moving in too close to the second toe. If your bunion is advanced you know what I mean. I haven't tried the toe stretcher yet - so I won't comment on that except to say most bunion sufferers do not even try to do foot exercises. That is a big mistake. I used my yoga practice to build really muscular feet and that alleviated some of the pain of having bunions and made my bunions smaller.About three years ago my bunion had progressed to a point where it inhibited my hobby of running. I went to a sport medicine doctor and he suggested surgery. He said I was too "way past" shoe inserts. hmmmm. I didn't have insurance and I didn't want surgery. I bought a couple books on healing my own bunions. I won't say it's easy to re-set the configuration, but if you really don't want surgery you owe it to yourself to give an honest go a real shot. Try hard.Get flexible splints like this you can wear during the day, a stricter splint for over night - start wearing shoes with flexible soles, low heels, large toe boxes and exercise your feet. Product is made with very thin plastic
I have been using the toe brace that wraps around your toe and foot for about a week now. The plastic that the velcro straps go through have already broken. The plastic is very thin. Very dissatisfied about that.I felt like I could have seen the results that I was looking for had the product lasted for more than a week. I haven't tried to return them just yet, so I don't know how the customer service will be. The package did not come with any contact information so I will have to do some research on who to contact.
