I was under the impression that you could buy additional foam inserts but the foam insert is removable. Just an FYI. I've got very broad shoulders so I have to put another pillow underneath which seems to go against the idea of the pillow. Definitely helping with sleep though and is very comfortable. I would definitely recommend, but I may have to look for an extra piece of foam to insert

My neck pain has gone,but i dont think the foam will last 12 months before new one required

What can I say ? Just woken up from the first night of sleeping on my new pillow and I am overjoyed! I slept completely soundly, even after having to get up to go to the loo, I went straight back to sleep again immediately - something that I usually spend hours tossing and turning afterwards! I am honestly wondering why I've never got one of these before.I have been suffering with neck injuries - pinched nerve, pins and needles, waking suddenly in the night gasping, and generally having neck muscles issues for a couple of years now, plus TMJ on my left side. I knew I needed a firm, flat pillow to sleep on my side but had never considered getting one of these (actually I didn't even know they existed until my brother suggested I got one).If this is how good I feel after just the first night I can't wait to sleep on this now forever!I researched others which looked similar to this, but the reviews for this were outstanding and I am so glad I choose this one. At first I thought it was going to be too hard, it felt odd for honestly less than a minute as I must have gone straight to sleep !If you have TMJ, neck issues: pinched nerves, pulled muscles, pain, numbness, - don't think twice - this will help you to sleep no question!

Lovely idea but hard and unforgiving.

Really comfortable. I did a straight swap and never looked back at my old pillows. No longer do I get woken up by dead arms or back strains.

I had a really bad shoulder pain, I ordered this pillow and it helps, it won't take all the pain away but, it will reduce the pain.

I brought this pillow ahead of my neck surgery to help me lay comfortably.It has done it's job where my head stays positioned all night to avoid movement.So soft with removable cover too 😃

Can’t believe I’m the first to write a review on this pillar. I searched almost all the ads and read the reviews for cervical pillars for at least two days because I wanted something that would help with the discomfort I was feeling in my neck, shoulder and arm. This one attracted my attention because it showed pictures of the exact afflictions that I was experiencing. I researched the shape, design and features plus it offered an additional layer of support that was removable so I decided to buy it. The first night it took some getting used to but today I’ve woken up feeling better than I have done in weeks so I’ll continue using the pillar and hoping for daily improvements. The pillar comes rolled up but within an hour it was fully puffed up and the size is practically the same size as a normal pillar so I’ve used a normal pillar case to put it in. I haven’t removed the additional later yet but I will just to see the difference it makes, but having the option of additional height is a bonus. I’m happy with the choice I made and look forward to reporting daily progress. So far, great purchase.
