I have E192 series resistors .5% to .1% ranges. I use for resistance checks, and bench power supply I trust. Always test with a known good meter and then with your new rig. I found my DM10 was good for field use. I test motors generators voltave converters and batteries mostly in the field. Ham radio, and other electonics gear in shop with bench equiment.

Q: Would this tester work for Christmas lights?

Yes it will as long as you ground it somewhere. You see it says AC/DC therefore it should work. If it would sag DC only then it wouldint unless your christmas lights were powered using a power adapter and had DC voltage through them.

Q: Does this meter test amp? what´s range at ac and dc?

It does not. It measures AC and DC voltage up to 600V (includes non-contact), Resistance up to 20M, Frequency up to 9.999Mhz, Continuity and Diodes.
