LB Brief (5th Edition) 5th Edition

I cherish this book and I am thankful that this older edition was in stock because the new version is horribly over-priced and honestly, how often does English grammar change? Not so much that it warrants a new edition that costs $90, in my opinion! This book is very handy and easy to use. Plus, my English teacher was impressed that I had a copy of the book to reference, he even used my copy in his class presentation. I received Brownie Points for sure! So, if you want to write papers with proper grammar or you just want to be the Teacher's Pet, then buy this book!

I needed this for class fast since I had already started and thats what I got. The book was in good quality and although we never used it much in the actual class it was good to reference things. I would recommend it again and again.

I had to get this book for my English 101 class. It's INCREDIBLY helpful and full of useful information that every college student needs in order to write successfully.

I purchased this for a class that I'm taking. It was delivered in the condition stated, which was fine for what I needed. It was also delivered SOONER than expected which was great!

It was helpful for college level english

This book was highly recommended for my university course and the contents is brilliant. Easy to follow and very well organised. For the content, I'd give it 5 stars. However, I'm extremely disappointed with the book's outer design, which doesn't even deserve the 1 star I have to give it. Considering it costs over £50, you would expect something that isn't going to fall apart within a week. Advertised as 'paperback,' it wasn't clearly mentioned that it is ring-bound. On top of this, the ring binder is very low quality and will no doubt become bent and fall to pieces. The paper rips very easily as it's hardly stronger than tissue paper, and when the book arrived it already had several areas of wear and tear on page corners and the thin paper cover was already scratched all over due to the very poor quality materials used. Considering this book will be useful for at least three years of Uni, I thought £50 was reasonable. But due to the awful design, I doubt it'll stay intact for long. Looking at the book, you'd think it would cost no more than £15. Very disappointed.

For a 'book' that I paid approximately 40 quid for I was very disappointed when I found it was a similar quality to the sort of thing I could make. I need the 'book' for my english literature course, but personally I think it should have been no more than 10 quid.
