Just a heads up, this baby is 98% plastic. I knew that going in, with a price in the $60-70 range, what else would you expect. With it being plastic it made it easy for me to install myself. I am no electrician, just a single mom with access to YouTube. That being said the installation took less time and effort than the removal of my old ceiling fan. The most difficult part of installation was determining what wires were. They were all the same color and none were labeled, but that's a problem with my house, NOT a chandelier issue. Please be safe when changing light fixtures. Flip the breaker. I had a fire extinguisher nearby just incase I wired it incorrectly and it sparked. But if I had zapped myself, no one would have known for several days and by then my cats probably would have eaten my face.
