Sizzling Romance
Gena pens yet another riveting book. If you adored Heartless, you will love Ruthless. Ruthless follows the story of Micah and Viori. Micah is pulled unwillingly into being the Fae King of the Forgotten while Viori raised herself after her brother Kaysar left her. Both Micah and Viori had to overcome their past and let go of their guilts in order to fall in love. After numerous battles and mistrust did they finally let go and started trusting each other. If you wanted to know if Kaysar and Viori ever found their way back to each other, read this book! A must read for the beach!

Irresistibly Ruthless!
Lucky lucky me — I got to read an advanced copy of this book. Spoiler alert - but not about the plot - I devoured it in less than 12 hours after it hit my kindle. Then, after reading another book, I couldn’t resist going back to savor it. So I started over with Heartless (and loved every page all over again) and then took my time (okay, I stretched it out over 3 days the second go-round) with Ruthless.I adored Kaysar. I didn’t think he could be rivaled (especially by someone that was a villain in Heartless and painted in such a foul light). Oh Gena - you outdid yourself with Micah. I almost forgot about how much I disliked him before I was finished with his intro chapter. After re-reading I’m still torn.I can’t wait for the next installment. This book had action, romance, heat, heartbreak and was simply irresistible.Kudos Gena Showalter. Books like this are why you’re a queen!

Loved it!
Another great book in this series! Micah finds Viori asleep in the woods when they are teenagers. He falls in love then and there as she sleeps protected by her “children”. The next time they meet, they are adults. Micah, the Unwilling, is in a truce with his enemy, Kaysar, who is Viori’s brother. She decides to stay in camp with Micah to spy on him to help her brother. The banter between these two is awesome! Love Viori and her unfiltered remarks. Their love starts to grow more and more. This book has it all. Betrayal, forgiveness, steamy scenes and deep love. Viori and Micah finally reach their HEA after sacrificing so much for each other.

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
What could be better than the story of Kaysar the Unhinged One and Cookie the Uncrumbled (Heartless, Immortal Enemies Book 1)? Nothing. Nothing could ever be better. But there are two beings that may equal the Kaysar-Cookie duo. Enter Micah the Unwilling and Viori the... hmmm... let's call her Viori the Unforgotten. Showalter is a giver in case you're new here...In Ruthless, we discover the once lost, now found, sister of King Kaysar living her best reclusive, monster-making life - until she meets Micah. Micah, the lonely boy who wanted to be her friend. Micah, the merciless King. Micah, her beloved brother's sworn enemy. It's hard for Viori to stick to her half-truth lies when seers seem to lounge about in every bough of the forest's trees but stick to them she will. She owes her brother a debt, and no matter the devastating consequences, she will pay it.Immortal Enemies rates so high in my favorites list I'd need angelic permission to release it. 😇KrisWhiskey & Wit Book Reviews

Forever needing more Showalter!
Absolutely love this series!!!Was super excited to read about Viori and learn what all happened to her. Yes, I didn't stop reading this once I got my hands on it. & It didn't disappoint! I loved it so so much! It's definitely right up there with Heartless... almost tied for first place, cause I LOVED Viori and Micah! (but Kaysar, mhmm.. need I say more?)And Drendall... omg, literally the cutest. (There was a particular scene with Drendall that for sure had me in my feels!)Now my heart is aching for Jareth's story. So, absolutely buy this book and go read it if you haven't already!

What's different?
I know I first read Gena Showalter's books for the first time a long time ago, but something different about these. (And not a good different, unfortunately) The story feels forced and awkward, and the character development mediocre. (For some reason I dislike every character.) I wish I could put my thumb on it, but this series just doesn't feel like the same author I've loved all these years.

The only problem is I want it to keep going!
I seriously cannot get enough of Gena Showalter! Ruthless is now the newest addition to my favorite books list.I have laughed out loud and cried for these characters as I read. I'm sure my husband and kids think I'm crazy. But, Gena has the ability to make her characters your friends and family. And I go through all of the emotions as though I am talking to my sister on the other side of the country and hearing her tell a story.Thank you Gena for another book that I could not put down! My next feral female rescue will be named Viori.

Wish I could reread it for the first time again!
5/5 ⭐️4/5 🌶**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**After reading Heartless, the first book in the series, I was in love with the world. I really wanted to read Viori’s story and I wasn’t disappointed.First off, I love Micah, and Viori, and Kaysar, and Cookie, and Amber…. Legit all the characters except for the villain.I honestly couldn’t put the book down and every time I had to, my mind was wandering back to the book and wondering what would happen next. There are so many scenes that I loved like Chucky, the tree babies, and Viori’s inner thoughts.I can’t wait to find out what is next for this series 👀

wow what a roller coaster of emotions
The chemistry between Micah and Red is huge. It has you sitting in the front seat of their roller coaster ride of hate for everyone to discovering themselves and each other. Can’t wait for book 3, please tell me there will be one Gena!

Ruthless
The second book in Immortal Enemies, Ruthless was a really enjoyable read. This is Viori story and her path taken after her separation from Kayser. I have to say the author has done a fantastic job weaving these stories and bringing everything full circle. I found the characters personalities intriguing and the interaction compelling. The story is well written and now I have read both I have found more of an understanding of Kayser as well.Do yourself a favor and be sure to add this to your reading list and enjoyed the ride.
