I added this 24 pound pail of rice in October 2022 for long term storage in our cool dark basement.Today I removed the well sealed and rubber gasketed lid. Very Tight Fitting And Hard To Remove Lid...Checking for grain weevils then repack contents in FoodSaver vacuum sealed bags if qualified good...I Was Quite Surprised At The Fresh Rice Aroma That Was Present ! ALSO there's two O2 absorber packs !ZERO Grain Weevils Or Any Bugs Due To The VERY Tight Lid AND The Two Oxygen Absorber Packets...Not Sure How Anyone Can Have ANY Disagreement With The Tightly Sealed Container Provided...!PAIL IS SEALED GREAT... Will Buy More And Leave It Alone Stored In My Cool Basement Til Needed...YES, DO BUY THIS!PS. My pail of Auguson Oats were packaged just like above and found it also fresh and weevil/bug free!Lane in Columbus, Ohio...

Based on economy that is not responding well to certain policies and the chaos in the world, stocking up on supplies is a must. Very pleased with Augason Farms, I have been stocking the pantry with alot of their stuff.

Plenty rice will buy more have another in cart I’ll use this in year I like white rice and several flavors of curry Indian, Indra, and boho.

I've tried three times now to order this. First 2, then a replacement for one of them. All THREE arrived when the lid popped off. They aren't sturdy enough to make it through delivery. And the way the plastic ring seals someone can pop this open, do whatever to it, and pop it back on.Just a huge hassle that may make it harder for me to return something in the future because now I have 2 refunds from this crap.Just buy rice and buy the oxygen absorbs they put in this and save $20 while having less of a hassle.*Update, turns out I can't find a way to get a refund or replacement for the unsealed replacement they sent me.If you do decide to risk it ordering this overpriced rice or one of their other poorly package products, do not accept a replacement when it arrives spilling everywhere, get a proper refund upfront.

Everything looks good upon first inspection. The lid was slightly open, but there was no spilled rice in the shipping box, so the contents were intact. This is going straight to my SHTF shelf. Purchased in February 2025, and it arrived with a January 2025 lot date and January 2055 "best used by date" — an impressive shelf life! Great for long-term storage and peace of mind.

The container lid wasn't locked and rice had spilled. I called customer service twice to see what could be done and no response. So disappointed. Stuff happens and I am not mad but for them not even trying to fix it, not cool. UPDATE: I got a call from Mike from the company and he apologized and referred me to Amazon's customer service. They weren't able to replace the item but gave me a refund. Thank you!

This rice is very good. I can’t tell the difference between this rice and store bought. I plan on buying more and save for emergency.

I bought this massive 4-gallon pail of rice after watching one too many late-night conspiracy theory videos — the kind that convince you society’s about to collapse and you’ll be trading rice for toilet paper. It’s packaged to last 25 years, which is honestly longer than most of my commitments. The bucket is super sturdy, the rice looks good, and it’s a pretty solid value for the money. I truly hope I never need it… but if the world goes sideways, at least I’ll be eating rice for a few cozy weeks before I die. Stir-fry optional. 10/10 would panic-buy again.
