Garibaldi Electric Fireplace Heater 26-Inch Curved, Wall Mounted, w/Stand, Black

This is THE BEST. We tucked it into the place where our old, gas fireplace stopped working. My only wish for this product is that it would have had an option for a STAND to place it on, for other people who might want to not hang it, but rather fill a spot by placing it on a hearth. Buyers should know the curved glass goes all the way around with no protection or edging--just glass, and there's like a one inch or two inch lip under the glass before the strong metal mechanism begins that runs the unit, so when you open it place it FLAT on it's back on or you could chip the edges of the pretty glass, then measure to hang it. For us, we had to build up (using the styrofoam in the shipping box) a base that we could shove into our existing fireplace space, and then gently we placed the unit on top of that styrofoam. Once we put it all in and pushed it back, we covered our home-made base with a large floor tile that matches our floor and did some creative plant placements to hide the cord. It looks great, but it would look way better if the company had included something to just set the unit on if you didn't want to hang it.The fire looks so real. Half the people who come over don't know we've shoved it over our gas fireplace and they assume it's a real gas fireplace. They don't even notice what we did at the bottom because the fireplace, when turned on is so darn pretty you just look at it.What we love the most about it, is that we can run it with NO heat. We have these in floor heaters, and they keep our pipes from freezing in the crawl space under our house. If we run a gas firplace or something that pumps heat, the thermostat does not click on and the crawl space will not heat, we can run this unit and get the so perfect 'fire place feels' without messing up our thermostat. Love love love this. It's bright, even in the daytime, and again it looks so real.

my wife loves the warm bathroom. yep, thats where we put it on the wall. however, there is no mention of warranty info. it does no good to contact the company...in addinum, the indicator lights that show status are in a remarkably bad place. what geek picked a location you can't see. the unit puts the heat up to about 92 in the bathroom. my wife loves you so, but i had to put a mirror behind he lights to read them...bad design...we are done here. i have spoiled her and you helped......:)

I like the sleek appearance and the flame is better than many of the electric fireplaces I've seen in the past, but the heating element is not so great. In my bedroom I barely notice any change in the heat after an hour of it running-- I expected a little more from the heating element, but the style is nice.

I absolutely love my fireplace! Looks so real and heats my room in minutes (15ft by 15ft space). Arrived quickly and in safe packaging. Easy to assemble and ready in about 10 minutes (hung on wall). Highly recommended!! Everyone who sees it wants one. Just buy it, I'm glad I did!

Unit was ok first year quit heating second year and I don’t know where to get it fixed

Not as hot as other heaters at half price. Mine came with some slight damage to the glass. Just a small chip that I colored in with a marker. The remote control is tiny and it's difficult to see any of the lights to determine fan speed, timer, etc. The flames are pretty but not worth the price.

Looks very pretty on the wall in my bedroom. It doesn't give off as much heat as I had hoped, though if you run the ceiling fan low, the heat gets pulled down from the ceiling. The heat comes out of the top. I was a bit disappointed in the hum it makes, but since it hangs on the wall, it will make some noise. It's more like white noise. Overall, I plan on keeping it.
