GRACO16Y386 Truecoat 360 Dsp Paint Sprayer

I bought this particular spray gun for specific reasons, but received the updated version, which sells for way less here on Amazon, but for even less at my local Canadian Tire. I returned it, cuz you're not fooling me that easy.I'd recommend getting the never version anyway.These guns by Graco work fine as long as they work and you keep em clean. Once they fail, be ready to spend $$$ on parts. They only come with a one year warranty, which is kind of a joke.Otherwise a great little spray gun.

This thing is fantastic ... what a time saver. Son and I were building a 10 x 12 wooden shed. I was dreading painting it, with the grooved siding. Decided to give a sprayer a shot and am really glad we did. It turned what would have been an all-day painting job into less than an hour. Never having used a sprayer before, we followed the directions very carefully and the thing worked great. Nice smooth application. We used a Behr latex paint and had absolutely no issues with clogging. I was a little worried about cleanup. I had used one of those power rollers 20 years ago and hated it because it was a real pain to clean. This is really simple to clean. Highly recommended.

I bought this for cabinet/door/trim latex paints. Some latex paints require 2000 psi and this gun doesn't do that. Lowes cabinet paint recommends tip size .017 - .019 and this gun only uses .015. Huh??? Home Depot paint is okay to use with .015 tip. So before you select a paint be sure that this sprayer tip and pressure can handle it. Paint is too expensive to waste. Other than that, the gun works as advertised. Had no problem spraying or cleaning.

Sprayed my 200' shadow box fence this past weekend. Both sides 400' of fence. Sprayed 9 gals. of solid color stain from Home Depot/Behr. Started off with straining the stain before loading it into the gun but quickly ditched using it since the stain had so much pigment in it that it clogged the strainer. So I poured directly from the can into the sprayer and off I went. Sprayed for 5 hours or so and had to stop two times to clean the strainer in the intake of the pump. It cleaned right up (sink in the garage) and I was back in business. Also had to use the spray tip cleaning setting several times by flipping the spray tip around. Overall I was extremely impressed with the ability of the sprayer to handle the solid body stain without straining first or thinning. Only downside was I had to refill the sprayer 36 times to do the whole fence.Use tip:Home Depot and Lowes sell cardboard boxes for cheap prices. These make really nice over-spray protection and you can throw them away when finished. I put one down in the grass also to load the spray gun and set the stain on when working.Pros:- Simple operation for general purpose spraying- Ability to handle relatively thick paint or stain and provide reasonable results.- Electric operation so no need for compressors- Parts/supplies available at LowesCons:- Paint reservoir is not suitable for large spray tasks. Only holds about a quart.- Weight of the gun when the paint/stain is loaded. Sore arms when painting a large surface.- Time to cleanup. But this is the same complaint for all spray gun systems

I had a problem with a missing part. The seller was very friendly and resolved the problem with lightning speed. I love the paint sprayer too but the seller is what really made the deal shine for me.
