What a great time for a reread. It's only been four years for me but it's just as good four years later. Theres nothing else like it. Rose is a great heroine - loyal and fierce and snarky. I just love her. Her and Dimitri's chemistry is off the charts, they are definitely in my top ten of favorite book couples. The 10th anniversary edition also came with four short stories: The Turn and the Flame - 5 stars Told from Tasha Ozera's pov, this story is set the night that Tasha's brother and sister-in-law (Christian's parents) voluntarily turned Strigoi. Tasha also lost a dHampir friend that was important to her and we find out how her face was scarred. Her horrific night just strengthened her belief that Moroi should learn to defend themselves. And, damnit, even knowing what she and Dimitri will briefly be to each other later on, it's hard to hate her. Excellent story. From the Journal of Vasilisa Dragomir - 3 stars Meh. Journal entries of Lissa's pov while she and Rose were on the run. We didn't learn anything new. The Meeting - 5 stars Told from Dimitri's pov, this is the scene from the beginning where he intercepts the girls to bring them back to St. Vladimir's. From the start it's clear the effect Rose has on Dimitri. Squee. I believe this story was actually previously released but it's still a good one. Hello, My Name is Rose Hathaway - 5 stars The St. Varvara's Day scavenger hunt is a tradition held every November during the carnival. It's top secret from teachers. And Rose wants no part of it. Until Lissa begs her to participate because she wants one of the prizes. So she joins Mason and Eddie's team. But when one of the items belongs to Dimitri, he soon busts her. Not to worry, Dimitri is up for a little fun and he helps her snatch one of the impossible to get items on the list. This one was a hoot to read. Loved it. Review: ROSE AND DIMITRI - Loved this book. Bought it just for the extra content.

Great book for vampire lovers!
I'm always skeptical about buying a book I haven't heard of, but I took a chance, and it didn't fail to impress! I really enjoy the plot and the ending was great! I don't want to say too much about it and ruin anything, but I do highly recommend trying this book and this author out!

YA that hooks you in
Full disclosure: I’m a full grown adult with two children, but I still found this YA novel entertaining. It gives Zodiac Academy vibes with the world building, character development, magic, and twisted storylines — but it hooks you in where you want to know what happens next. Rose is easy to root for. Although not human, she has many characteristics we relate to: recklessness, fear, uncertainty, desire, guilt — she’s relatable and someone you want to see succeed even if you aren’t completely sure how that will look for her just yet. It’s an easy read that you will enjoy — so don’t debate it, just do it.

Even better than I remembered it!
I first read this book back when I was in college - 12/13 years ago! - and now, after watching the AMAZING AND SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIE tv series I decided to reread the books. So when I saw this anniversary edition, I immediately bought it. With the actors playing the characters in my mind, I relived, laughed and smiled with Rose and had my heart melt with the mention of Roza. 🌹❤️ The first short story was a complete benefit, to those - like me - that needed to know more about the Ozera's family past, and although I found the second short story just okay, my heart was thrilled by the last one, that totally fueled my 'Rose Hathaway is a badass and Dimitri is a stone just on the outside hunk' tank. I will continue my rereading of the saga and probably will rewatch the series after xD

Eh
Only bad thing about this was that I had to order it, return it and have a replacement sent, it was damaged both times.

Best series I’ve ever read
I never write reviews but for this I will. This is the best book series I’ve ever read. I read it in high school and I read it again at 22. I’m 24 now and I would reread it every year but I don’t want to remember every detail when I do so I’m trying to space it out. Basically every series or book I’ve read after this has been a major let down. To anyone and everyone I recommend this series. I have never felt more immersed into a story in my life that when I finished this series I was left with a book hangover that lasted a week. It’s very well written and an incredible story that has you wishing it was reality.
