adidas outdoor Men's Ax2 Hiking Shoe

Looks: The Grey/Black version of this shoe looks awesome. But unless you intend on just wearing it to Whole Foods to impress Debra, the checkout girl, don’t go for looks. Because Debra wants to see you get those shoes dirty on the trail.Function: the NON GORETEX VERSION (which is what these are) are not great for anything other than a dry weather hike. Yes they can handle shallow mud puddles here and there but rain coming from above will eventually get your feet wet. But for dry trails, scrambling and grip on terrain, they work great. The grip on the sole is outstanding and on a 13 mile Wonderland Trail hike in Northwest weather, they handled the trail with all it’s ups and downs great.The low tops are cool but I would say go with the midboot otherwise you’ll get dirt in your heel while hiking. But, for dry weather hikes, these are great shoes. By the way, if you normally wear 9.5 in Adidas, these will be a SLIGHT big but you want a little extra toe room for the hike down. Otherwise your toes will hate you. But DON’T ORDER A SIZE UP OR DOWN. They’ll be too big or small. I had to exchange based off bad reviews of sizing.

I have owned 3 pairs of adidas ax2 hiking boots, I absolutely love them. The high ankle ones are my favorite, unfortunately they got chewed up in a motorcycle accident. these low tops are also great though they are 2nd behind the high ankle ones. Super comfortable, they last FOREVER while still looking great, no issue with seams coming undone or stitching. have used one pair for at least 4 years and theyre going strong.

These were really handy when I went camping and hiking. My feet would have been in crazy pain if I just wore regular sneakers. These fit really well. They were not waterproof but it never said that it was and I knew that. If it was it would be just about perfect. I wouldn't mind if it was a bit higher fitting so it would be more of a boot. These are definitely low top and good for summer hiking and camping in dry conditions which I was.

I bought these shoes in October, I work 10 hours on my feet 5 days a week with lots of walking (about 7 miles a day). Not once have these shoes been uncomfortable! They are a little on the expensive side for what I'm used to paying for work shoes but after buying these I don't think I will ever get anything else! Awesome shoes!

Out of the box I can't take em off! They are Light weight, sturdy and rugged in comparison to my former running shoes also addidas but comfort is beyond words. I've never purchased hiking shoes before, now I'm looking forward tearing up some limestone trails later on my walk. Yes they are presently on my feet. I Received them on Apr 3, 2014.

These look like amazing shoes. I just have to return them since they were a bit big. I never have a problem with my 9.5 size but i think these I'll have to get in a 9
