Value for Price
This loupe is great. I usually have to buy a few different ones before I get the one that suits me. This was only the 2nd one. I use it on sports cards that I buy or sell. It so much easier using the HAPPY HYDRO ILLUMINATED LOUPE to see the creases and anything else that helps me to evaluate better . It is durable. Don't have to stick it right against your eye(holding it approx. 1"-1 1/2" ) to see what I am looking at. I am no means a professional. I am just an old man trying to sell his sports collection to help subsidize my income. My wife & I are both disabled, but only I get income. I am on long term disability, and in 4 short years my income drops 50%. I digress, back to the HAPPY HYDRO LOUPE. The design is nice. I can put a piece of string through the "LOUPE", and wear it around my neck, because I tend to put my stuff down, and forget where I put it. I said durable, because I have already dropped it a few times, and it still performs. The Price was good also. I hope this helps.

A very useful magnifier, but the overall design can use some improvements
I purchased this loupe because it was advertised as made of ground optical glass, which is a big plus over the softer acrylic lenses of other brands. I am also pleased with the bright LED output. Once you use an illuminated magnifier, it is really hard to go back to using one without the light source. I especially use the 60x lens in identifying insects down to species in some instances.I have a couple of issues with the design. The case is rather bulky and not really suitable to carry in a pocket. The case makes the loupe look more like a museum piece rather than an instrument to be used on a regular basis. If the case is meant to sit on a desk and the loupe taken out only occasionally, that's fine. But for the field, a leather or Denim pouch which fits the contours of the loupe would probably be a better alternative for easy transport. Since I will be using it for the latter, I will ditch the case and look for a substitute. The key is an item which can easily get lost. Perhaps make a slot in the battery cover so it can be opened with a small coin or screwdriver and get rid of the key altogether. I may end up taping the key on the inside covering of the loupe itself. Both of these issues are rather minor in my opinion. My only major problem I have with the design is that the joint that allow the loupe to swing out for viewing is held together by screws! I have used enough illuminated lenses to know that with regular use these screws will eventually come loose and fall out at the most inconvenient time. A permanent, rivet type joint should have been used to prevent a 1-piece item to become a 2-piece one. A drop of cyanoacrylic glue on each of the screws helps, but considering the cost of the loupe, one shouldn't have to resort to this measure. The presence of screws gave it a 4 instead of a 5-star ratingOverall, despite my issues, this is a very useful lens.

Works well, but...
The loupe works well and seems to be a good value, but the replacement of the three (3) batteries is unnecessarily difficult. Yes, there are three (3) LR1130 batteries and a "key" to open the battery compartment. Unscrewing and screwing the compartment cover was not easy; the threads on the plastic cover are imprecise at best. Very frustrating, and I was surprised that the loupe required three batteries although this is listed in the description (I guess I forgot about this.). In fact, the spec sheet that comes with the loupe describes changing "the battery," not "changing the BATTERIES."UPDATE: Now, only one of the LED bulbs works. The 30X one has to be "jiggled" to work and then it may or may not work. I'm disappointed.Update: Chris, from Happy Hydro, replaced the defective loupe. Thanks a lot.

Excellent Value - Just What I Was Looking For
I bought this magnifying loupe to inspect flower pistils and it turned out to be perfect for that purpose. I usually use the 60x magnification, but the 30x magnification works as well. To get a good view, the trick is to put the hand holding the loupe in a steady position; resting my elbow on any surface works for me. Some people report that they find it difficult to focus with the loupe, but I think that's the case with any loupe; it takes a little practice. The built-in light is a nice feature, but it's not always necessary. It comes in handy when it's needed, though. My girlfriend also sometimes borrows this loupe whenever she needs to take a closer look at her jewelry. Overall, for the price, I think this product delivers excellent value.

Difficult to use
This item was recommended to me by one of my plant channel viewers as something that may help spot pest on plants. Since she was so pleased with hers, I decided to make the purchase. Simply put, I don't like it. I find it difficult to zero in on what I'm trying to look at. It may be that I'm just not use to using this type of device, but after weeks of trying to make this thing work for me, I give up. A magnifying glass would be a better fit for me.

Amazing Loupe
I use mine to help me look at my maturing buds; the Loupe works great day and night. The magnification is amazing; you get two lenses, both easy to use. When you use it at nighttime with the LED light on; it looks like another galaxy of stars deep inside your buds. Love this Loupe; quite possibly my fav purchase of 2022!!

They work good but
This was a good buy for the money. The lights worked and were helpful so you could the small things when you needed more light. Both magnifications were clear. I am happy with my purchase but the first time I used it one of the small screws that hold the outer piece fell out and got lost. If you buy one check the screws and tighten them as needed.
