Russell Athletic Men's Dri-Power Closed-Bottom Sweatpants with Pockets

I agree with the other reviews to buy a size larger.They have an awkward cut to them. They are very tight around the hips which, to me, defeats the point of buying sweatpants. These are not comfortable to wear and have no stretch to them.I have other pair of Russell sweats that are 3XL and fit me fine which is why I went ahead and made this purchase. It appears that the sizing has changed and they are of lesser quality so if you're buying these based on previous Russell purchases, I wouldn't recommend these. They have downgraded in quality big time.I do not recommend these whatsoever.UPDATE:These are the most poorly made sweats I've ever worn. The stitching is very weak. 2 pair of them had the exact same issue of the seam at the crotch developing a hole in them after the first wear with light use only.I have Joe Boxer sweatpants that I have had for 8 years and they have yet to rip, tear, or have any other defect in workmanship. Besides the fading of the black fabric, the sweats are still in very good condition. Compare that to the Russell sweats that I paid 3x more for than the Joe Boxers.UPDATE 2: EVERY single pair of these I bought ripped at the seams of either the crotch, pockets, or both after 1 wear.

These are very soft and comfortable. I did my best to shrink the heck out of them, as I'm only 5'3", and these could easily fit someone 4-6" taller. Ignore the waist sizing. I'm a 32", and I have plenty of room to spare. They're very stretchy. The leave a LOT of lint behind in the drier, so they may disintegrate over time. If so, I will lower my rating. Otherwise, I like the deep pockets, the color, and they're warm. If I keep them long enough, maybe I'll like the fact that I can easily pull them up to my rib-cage, but at this point in my life (and not being a youngster), I like my pants to sit at my waist, and the crotch to end somewhere near my, um crotch. These either hang down, or I roll-up the top to make them fit nicer. If anyone knows of a better cut pocket sweat w/elastic bottoms, please do share!

I just received my sweat pants today and am somewhat pleased with them. In the past I have not had any problems purchasing a men's large in pants, I am 6'0 tall and weigh around 180 lbs and have a slender athletic build. However, these pants were a little tight in the seat and crotch area but the inseam was perfect. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase since they were only about $16 so my expectations were not extremely high to begin with. They will work fine for just lounging around. They are very comfortable and not too heavy or too light. I would recommend that if your around my build and want a little extra room in the seat that you look at going a size up as these will shrink some over time.

These are not true to the color in the photo - they are a darker color like the photo for the navy. The photo for the navy heather is definitely a lighter shade of blue. They are just a little tighter on the top compared to our old Hanes of the same size, but we might have stretched those out since we have worn them for several years now. The legs seem a little longer to me. My husband and I, who wear the same size in sweat pants, both find these acceptable for fit. The color is also acceptable to both of us although not as pretty to my eye as the color I thought we were getting. The price is more than acceptable, given that we can locally only get either sweat pants without fleece for the same price, or branded fleece sweat pants for two or three times the price.There were no manufacturing flaws in any of the three pairs we received.

These sweat pants were too small for a size 4x. I have 2 pair of size 4 x at home and they are huge. Also the pants were not what I ordered here as seen in this picture-because the pants I wanted did not have the elastic band at the bottom of the pants legs and the pants I received had elastic bands at the opening of the pants legs. I did not send these back. I just will never order these ever again. Someone in Brother Charlie's clothes bin will enjoy these.

These fit great out of the box. Then I washed them, ONE time. When I put them on out of the dryer, the elastic at the left ankle was broken. So now I have sweats with one open bottom and one closed bottom. Lousy quality

I lift weights every day and to allow for extra room in my waist, I will purchase sweatpants a size larger than I normally wear. However, these Russell athletic pants fit tighter than my normal size and are way too tight and uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. Since this is my first pair of Russell athletic sweatpants I don't know if they typically come midsized or if they are just made this poorly on a normal basis. I cannot recommend this product and will not use Russell athletic products again.

I like casual wear and this fit the bill perfectly. Elastic cuffs are a must with me and these don't disappoint. Light weight and extremely comfortable. A lot of manufacturers don't have side pockets on sweatpants. Shame on them! These came with left / right side pockets of average depth to carry small items (cell phone etc). Warm on brisk windy days during the fall months while walking my dog :)~.
