Love my new Diawa Sealine 40 for catfishing from the bank!
Got the x 40 sha!!! I’ve catfished for years and recently found a local guy on YouTube called Catfish Dave and he uses these reels paired with a 12’ rod for bank fishing for catfish. I never even considered doing that before. I bought this setup based on what he used in order to hit the deep channels of the river from the bank and I’ve already caught constantly bigger catfish lately! Love this reel! It casts far and reels in fast. Holds a lot of line. Took me a little bit to get used to casting and I’m still learning a bit. Had a lot of trouble birdsnesting right out of the box. I looked into it and realized no brakes were on it initially. I put on the red then went to the black ones. I love it! Highly recommend this reel. And I highly recommend you follow Catfish Dave on YouTube!

Very good reel
I have caught kingfish Cobia barracuda and snapper. With this reel. I really like it after 9 months of use. No signs of saltwater wear. Plenty of drag for me. Plenty of braid line capacity for me. I would not call it a casting reel like an Abu Garcia 6600 c4 series..... but yes you can cast live bait away from the boat with practice

Great quality at a good price.
Great high speed reel. Easy to cast, holds 300+ yds of nano- fill 17 lb test. No level wind bar. I use it for bank fishing for catfish. Came recommend from YouTuber Catfish Dave. Great value.

Great reel
Very smooth cast and retrieve. Comfortable. Powerful. Ergonomic. Lightweight. Sturdy. I like the over sized handle. I have a Sealine 47SH that my Dad bought me in about 1978. It has been my favorite reel and I am still using it today. These are great reels. I am not quite sure of the line wind yet on this model. My old Sealine has a guide that tracks back and forth to ensure the line winds evenly. This reels does not but so far, has not been a big issue.

Very Good Reel
I got this reel for king mackerel fishing at gulf of Mexico. Maybe the water temperature was low that day, I got 0 king mackerel but lot of red snapper. There was no any pressure to reel them up from the sea bed......Very good reel!

Great reel that can handle whatever you throw at it
We currently have 3 of these and they work great. The lightweightness of it along with the high speed makes it a dream to cast. It can handle anything from a small bluefish to a 8 foot shark. Wonderful reel. If we need a new one we will definitely buy again.
