Well made, sharp, all metal, likely last one you'll need.
Do not buy any other shovels... Click add to cart and buy this shovel. I had concerns about the hollow handle, but this thing is sturdy. I have left my blade edge in the dirt months now and no rust. Cut away roots, pried up plants in dry dirt, and after forcefully throw it into the dirt. Typically goes 2-3 inches deep on these throws' dry dirt, so pretty good force. The welds are done pretty well and the only con I can see is the handle wrap eventually needing to be redone. A simple home craft project to learn later. This will be probably the last shovel you will have for your yard work. This is the only shovel I've had that does not bend when prying through roots in the soft soil and even harder soil. If this company or whoever makes these is smart. Further tools will be built to this standard of durability and quality. I realize an item not easily breaking means less repeat customers. Id wager you get even more sales if this was placed next to those cheap expensive options in most stores.

Exceptional Quality and Durability in a Garden Trowel
When it comes to gardening tools, quality truly matters... and this heavy-duty hand trowel is undoubtedly among the very best I've encountered. From the moment I first handled it, the superior craftsmanship and robust materials stood out. Made from impressively thick, heavy-gauge carbon steel, this isn't your average gardening trowel. It feels incredibly solid and durable, giving me confidence that it won't bend or warp even during tough gardening tasks like digging through compacted soil or transplanting established plants. The rubberized handle is thoughtfully designed—comfortable, grippy, and ergonomically shaped, which significantly reduces hand fatigue during extended use. It remains secure in my hand, even when muddy or wet, making precision tasks easier. I've been using it consistently in my garden for several weeks now, tackling everything from planting bulbs to weeding stubborn roots, and it's held up exceptionally well, with no signs of wear or corrosion. In comparison to other trowels I've tried over the years, this product genuinely surpasses expectations. If you're seeking a gardening tool that embodies durability, comfort, and reliability, you won't find a better option. Highly recommended for both casual gardeners and dedicated enthusiasts alike.

Love this for weeds. It works great.
Really like this little hand shovel. It has a sharp point and edges so it gets to the root of a weed nicely. Used it to cut off branches from large thistles from an overgrown area, with a swift wack. I could then get close to the trunk of the plant and cut it out. Very sturdy tool. Bought two of these and would highly recommend.

This is a very sturdy shovel
This is a very sturdy shovel. I do a lot of gardening in tough Adirondack soil. These have a sharp edge that makes life much easier. Haven't rusted yet even on blade. Best hand shovel I even had

Very good trowel.
I gave this trowel 4 stars because I've only been using it a short time. It probably deserves five. I bought it because of its unusual pointed shape, which should (and does) make it very useful for digging, cutting through small roots and so on. I was doubtful about how good it would be for scooping, but it does that well too. It's comfortable to use, sturdy and, I think, likely to be durable. Only time will tell about that. Some buyers have been worried about the way the handle is welded to the blade. But... The other day I was digging out a big plastic pot with badly compacted soil. At one point stuck the trowel in to lever up the soil, and couldn't move it. So I put a LOT of pressure on the trowel handle, and suddenly heard a loud crack. Oh, oh. Pulled the trowel out. It was fine. The soil wouldn't come up because I'd unknowingly wedged the tip of the trowel against the inside of the pot--the noise I heard was the pot cracking! So, although the welding looks a little sloppy, I think it's strong.
