It is advertised as having a 45 hour battery life at the lowest volume. I trialled this and only got 24 hours before battery exhaustion; admittedly this was not at the lowest volume; but it was at quite a low volume. I am not too worried about this as 24 hours is good enough and I expect most manufacturers make exaggerated claims in this respect. I trialled it with a 512 GB microSD card; it recognised it just fine. Bluetooth pairing with my phone was easy. It took me a while to work out how to switch from Blutetooth to SD Card reliably; at first I had to keep removing the SD Card and using my laptop to delete some “marker” files that the speaker created. I finally overcame that problem by making the marker files read-only. I also trialed the aux-in by connecting an old Sony CD Walkman; quality was excellent. Sound quality is surprisingly good; although I am not an audiophile so your opinion might differ. I listened to Tchaikovsky 1812 and enjoyed it although I wouldn’t normally use it for listening to classical music. If using it to provide party music, it can play very loud; certainly more than enough for the average room in a house; for larger rooms or halls you would probably want to buy a second speaker and pair it. It is also a powerbank so I trialed charging an exhausted phone; it charged it successfully without depleting its own battery charge too much. It will recharge itself if plugged into usb power supply whilst at the same time playing an SD card. The detachable strap is good quality. Overall I am happy with this product. Only 4 stars for making an exaggerated battery life claim. Nearly dropped it down to 3 because of the hassle switching from bluetooth/sd card mode and no support from the "Help email"; but as its OK now I gave it the benefit of the doubt!

I bought a JBL Xtreme 3 thinking it would be better than this. It wasn't... Considering this is at least half the price of the JBL unit it's incredible quality and tremendous value for money. Kudos to W-King for producing such a brilliant portable speaker. Not only is it louder than the JBL Xtreme 3 it also sounds noticeably better and is able to maintain a good connection to my phone where the JBL couldn't. For the same price of the competitors units you could buy TWO of these and link them together! Your neighbours certainly won't be happy if you do. This product is well worth five stars all day long.

As a speaker junkie, I must say this is a great speaker. I've been using it very quietly, and I love how good music still sounds, without having to disturb the world. If I do want to turn it up, it sounds even better. I have no idea if this suits the needs of big party, but for my personal use, I love this speaker. I have paid 3-5 times as much for speakers like bumpbox, or Harmon Kardon aurora, and I like the sound of this way better. I have also bought a couple other W-king speakers, and this one is by far the best out of the 3.
