OPI Holiday 2021 Celebration Collection, Nail Polish, Gift Sets

I purchased two bottles from the 2021 Celebration Collection - Ready, Fete, Go and My Color Wheel is Spinning. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed in both; the photos here and on the OPI site are different from reality. I've attached my own pics for comparison. First, they lean more toward glitter than shimmer. Second, the swirls of color the photos indicate are nearly non-existent (especially with Ready, Fete, Go), the variation just isn't there. Long story short, this nail polish is fine but the colors are not new or remarkable - I've seen them before and so have you.

These are super cute and arrived quickly. I got them for my 10 year old. But the blue was broken and leaked all over in the packaging. Hoping to get a replacement. These were a gift :(Update: Amazon refunded the price so i can purchase another set.

If you use the OPI base coat and the top coat, this nail polish really lasts! I have not been careful or trying to avoid chipping my nails, and this polish is a few days old now. These colors are: All is Berry and Bright, Snow Day in LA, and Sun, Sea and Sand.

I absolutely LOVE this shade! The LED Marquee is more like a shimmer than a glitter. It's such a beautiful blue shade and the holographic effect is ahhhhhmaaazing! I'd give this 100 stars if I could!Side note, the second image of this in the product description is wrong, it shows a solid blue color but this is actually a shimmery lighter blue.

I love the mini OPI polishes -- they're great for travel -- and the chance to sample shades I wouldn't normally try. I don't have the long wear some do -- but I don't bother with doing all the layers, either. This year's advent calendar includes a top and base coat, which gives me a chance to try doing my manicure "properly".My only complaint is that this doesn't seem substantially different from last year's advent calendar, yet it's $20 more. Clearly, since it's now sold out, people didn't have a problem with the jump in price.Update: Now that I've been using the calendar, I dropped a star, as the bottle-shaped doors are a pain to get open without tearing, and it's difficult to get the bottles out with little room for fingers to grab them or maneuver.

Does not look like the pictures at all. No matter how thick, no matter how many layers, it's still just a few flecks of glitter at a time. The pis is my thumb after three thick layers. It's the best looking finger and it looks stupid. I am going to remove it all and pick out something festive to use as a base layer. However, I am super super super super like super duper super disappointed OPI. Lame sauce. My hopes were far too high for this outcome lol anywhooo, will not return because I'm lazy

I usually get gel manicures at the nail salon, but I wanted to try at-home manicures to save money and restore the health of my nails (we all know that constant gel manicures aren't the best for your nails). I had zero at-home nail products and this was a great set to purchase. This set comes with 10 mini-sized nail polishes and I find the shade selection perfect for year-round use. I also like that they included two of their most popular shades: Lincoln park after dark (which I use in winter) and bubble bath (which I will use in spring/summer). My manicure lasts about a week before it begins to chip but that's expected and when you have 10 shades to choose from I actually look forward to doing my own manicure now. I don't mind the smaller size because honestly who goes through a full-sized bottle anyway? I will say that with the mini-sized, it makes it slightly hard to properly load the brush with polish but honestly completely worth the learning curve for this set.

It’s a pretty color, kind of a Ceylon sapphire color, and it does have some glitter in it (that is not scratchy or bumpy to the touch), but I’m not seeing any iridescence whatsoever. I’ll still wear it but it’s not as described, IMO.

The red ribbon theme continues inside where some of the calendar doors blend in with the design and some are randomly coloured, what seems to be polish shades. Each door is numbered and they run in numerical order, on opening each door you will find your mini polish, these are extremely difficult (but not impossible) to get out of the plastic casing, and while it may seem a little frustrating, on the plus side it means that the polishes slot securely back into the calendar so it’s perfect for storage and when you pick the calendar up the polishes stay where they are and don’t all fall out.On the reverse of each door is the name of the polish behind that door, which is very helpful as the bottles themselves are not named. There is also a list on the reverse of the box giving a full breakdown of the contents with names and colours but this is not listed in order of the contents.I made the mistake of tipping all of the contents out of last years calendar and then I didn’t have a clue which one was which as the colours on the box can differ slightly from the actual shade in the bottle and also there were some shades that were very similar to others, lesson learned, I won’t be tipping them all out this year:)Although the bottles in this advent calendar are very small, they contain enough polish to do a fair few manis (12, I think) and they are all of the impeccable quality that OPI is renowned for plus the brushes, again mini sized, are their patented Prowide shape and, with a little practice, apply the polishes smoothly and precisely. I have biggish hands and wider nails and I can get along with this size brush without any problem, I just need to remember not to wipe the brush on the neck of the bottle like I do with a standard size, otherwise it’s double/triple dippy and then it can become a little bit of a fiddly-faff.Another reason why I like the mini bottles is that I feel like I’m not only getting a lot more for my money, but I also get to ‘try before I buy as I don’t want to spend upwards of £15 only to find it gives me mannequin or lobster hands (Gelato On My Mind) lol. Rich, elegant and perfect for autumn.‘Ready Fete Go’ a stunning teal shade with that is beyond beautiful, opaque in 1 coat, more intense colour and shine with 2 coats - this polish left me speechless - I think I’ve found ‘the one’ 💘‘Snow Day In La’ a pretty very subtle pearly-white shade with just the right amount of shimmer to take away the stark whiteness but it’s only really visible in bright light, opaque in 2 coats, a Christmas staple!‘Turn Bright After Sunset’ a dark charcoal grey with a silver shimmer, opaque in 2 fast drying coats, a gorgeously dark grey with a cool silver sparkle but the holographic promise was very hard to find - still a fabulously chic polish and a perfect winter shade.Overall I think this advent calendar is the best one yet, out of 22 shades there is only 2 that I haven’t loved, whether that be an old favourite or one of the 12 breathtakingly-beautiful new shades. It may seem a little bit extravagant at £69.90 but you get such a lot of stunning polishes that will give you fabulously flawless, superior quality, professional looking nails through to Christmas and beyond. If you’re looking to add some sparkle to your nails this coming festive season, then look no further - ‘Confetti Ready’ is just that! A cascading confetti of hex’s glitters and micro holo glitters in a clear base. Having an eye like a magpie for anything that glitters, I’ve painted my way through a fair few bottles of glitter polish but, hand on heart, I can honestly say that this is probably one of, if not the best glitter toppers I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.The mix of colours and glitter sizes and how well distributed they are when applying, means that I’m not having to manipulate or reapply trying to get a good coverage - just one swipe with the fabulous flat wide brush is literally all it takes to have glittering nails that sparkle a rainbow of colour from every angle.Apply this over any colour base or wear it bare and watch your dazzling nails turn heads!Highly Recommended!

I probably needed a 3rd coat as my ridges were still a tiny bit visible - but I didn’t care because this polish is just so breathtaking beautiful! I usually avoid blue shades as they make my pale hands look washed out, but this made my hands look sleek and my nails look chic and grown up - I’m in love with this blue💙‘Paint The Tinseltown Red’ is a gorgeous orange/red holographic shade. This too had a richly pigmented formula and was fully opaque in just 1 coat, again I applied 2 coats for a super smooth shiny finish. In normal light the polish is a beautiful red with a pretty orange shimmer but catch this in the sunlight and watch those rainbows dance!‘My colour Wheel Is Spinning’ is a vibrant purple/violet shade with the same highly pigmented formula and this too gave a full streak free coverage in just 1 coat with 2 coats intensifying the colour and shine. This is a beautiful purple polish without the added bonus of the holographic goodness and it too had a subdued shimmer in normal lighting - but once the sun came out it became a disco ball of mesmerising colour - bring on the party season!Overall this is a glorious gift-set containing stunning colours and finishes from OPI’s fabulously new ‘Celebration Collection’. All the shades are stunning, have amazing formulas and apply like a dream.At £16.70 I think this is outstanding value for the quality of the polishes and the results they give. The mini bottles are the perfect way to ‘try before you buy’ and I honestly prefer them as I can never use a full sized bottle of nail polish before it splits or goes gloopy.This set is the perfect gift for any nail polish lover - but you may want to buy 2 because I promise once you see these, you won’t be gifting it to anybody but yourself ;)

‘My colour Wheel Is Spinning’ is a vibrant purple/violet shade.This gorgeous purple polish applied like a dream thanks to its highly pigmented formula and gave a streak free first coat, I applied a second coat and this intensified the colour and shine.It dried very fast but when dry it did look a tiny bit bumpy here and there, but it felt smooth not raised and as it was only slightly visible from certain angles it didn’t really affect my overall adoration of this beautiful polish.In normal lighting, the purple is flecked with a silvery glitter shimmer and a hint of bright pink sparkles and the overall effect is quite reserved and beautiful in its own right - but when the sunlight hits your nails this polish transforms into a rainbow of holographic sparkle that is mesmerisingly stunning!Perfect day to night polish and just in time for the festive season - bring on the celebrations…my nails are ready! 💜🤩

I ordered a celebration collection .The nail polish which was advertised was with different shades merging between them .I received a plain green nail polish.It’s not as described.It’s an ordinary nail polish with no effects.

Love OPI, you get what you pay for! The colour is a gorgeous shimmering pink. Quick drying, I applied two coats over a base coat, letting each coat dry first. Then finished with a top coat. Had lots of compliments about my nails since using this varnish. Very happy with the results. I used the BarryM base & top coat nail strengthening varnish. Also very good for the great price.
