I was looking for a set of cross bars to go with my Yakima rooftop cargo carrier. I was skeptical about the drip edge mounting set up and weight rating. I was very impressed with the overall quality out of the box. The set up and installation took about 20 minutes. I made a few test runs with the cargo box mounted and was impressed with how quiet it rode. The rails held well and I gained confidence for my trip. 3400 miles later I was thrilled with how well they held the cargo box. We ran into significant wind during our travels and everything held beautifully. Upon my return I made a mistake with removal and damaged a part. I contacted Hooke Road and they were amazing to work with. They really stood by their product even though I explained how I was the problem…. That level of service will bring me back to their product line again.

This was very easy to install and worked perfectly to transport a kayak. However, to mount it there are screws you need a hex key. As I was tightening them, the bolt heads were very soft and are starting to deform. I'm not sure I'll get very many uses considering this will be on and off the jeep a lot. Not much faith in the mounting hardware but the rack is nice.

Fit perfectly! And easy to install, fittings and hardware stays tight. Actually use ours flat for two kayaks with less wind noise than as in the picture.
