Overall good product at incredible price! Getting the bottom nut took a while on the driver side! Be very patient and careful not to drop!!! Took me about 10 min of trying to get that figured out. The passenger side was a little easier but still very tight as the headlight assemblies obstructed getting hand in. Do poly two fingers to bracket the bolt. I’m a small guy so I can’t imagine a big person bringing able to slip their fingers in and then push up the bolt. The rest of assembly was easy. FYI, the supplier must have modified it a bit as the brackets are a bit different than the Caribbean guys YouTube video. I didn’t have to remove the metal clips, I just snapped into the round socket and everything fit fine. For $35 these are well worth the effort of the tight screws! I don’t have to worry about a heavy hood anymore.

Followed the one and only YouTube review/installation for my 2018 Toyota Highlander even though the guy's vehicle was a 2017 model. All in all it worked out great 👍. Also be patient and take your time because if one those pieces slips and falls you're going to have a rough day ahead of you. In any case I'm loving it with these new hood struts. Install was not that hard, despite other reviews. Any person with minimal mechanical ability can do it, no drilling or tapping required, but oem hood prop becomes unusable. This makes install tricky, you need to do one bolt at a time and slide the bracket over to get the second bolt in or the hood will drop. As others noted, there are no instructions. But this isn't even the real problem. What makes this product particularly poor is that the clips push the plasctic covers out of place. I will probably need to uninstall it now or clip out pieces of the cover to make the lower brackets fit. This is just lazy engineering by a company that doesn't care if the product actually functions. Even if I remove the plastic cover, I am not happy about how the mounts fit, they feel flimsy. Buy a different brand.

Love what it does to hood..I wish had better than a few picts to mount and maybe better mounting hardware because almost impossible to do..takes a lot of time unless you have long thin fingers

The price was good but the directions are horrible. I am in the process of installing it and the left front mount is a problem because there is little clearance (Toyota issue not this kit) and I have to buy a magnetic finger to hold the bolt that the mount will attach to. There are videos on You Tube that show you how this is installed. If you are not good at finding work arounds to make it fit, you might want to pass on this kit.

I thought I figured it out and had the hardware mixed up and caused me to do over like 3 times. So look closely on placement and hardware placement.
