Product--- VIVOHOME 1.5 Gallon Vacuum Chamber with Pump. This kit works great!!!! Assembly was quick and easy. 1 install the gauge assembly on to the clear top. 2 place the silicone ring around the top. 3 fill the vacuum pump with oil. 4 connect the hose from the gauge to the pump. This kit was up and working in maybe 10 minutes. Vacuumed the chamber down and had no problem holding vacuum for .5 hour. After initial test released vacuum and tested degassing liquid as seen in the photo. The little issues I noticed with the kit I received: 1. The gauge seems off and does not return to zero (when unboxing it the kit, the gauge was already at 5. This is not a problem for me as I don’t need accuracy for my task) probably should give zero stars for accuracy.......oh well.......... 2. The pump has a hard time starting when under full vacuum. It did start, but it took a second or so to get to full rpm. Easy fix with the pump side of valve closed release the vacuum in the line by opening the cap slightly at the pump. Than close cap and start pump and slowly open the valve for pump side of valve to increase vacuum in chamber. This is a budget friendly kit and work very well. I am very happy with this kit and it works perfectly for my tasks.

Not sure why some of the bad reviews I saw on this item. I looked at several vacuum chambers for resin including this one and decided on this item. When I received it I read the instructions and used the included teflon tape on all the fittings that you screw in. I added the oil to the proper fill line and ran a test vacuum, and it worked great. I then mixed up some residual for a project and placed my form inside the vacuum pot and placed the lid on and pulled a vacuum. The vacuum held without any issues and did not lose any vacuum. I released the vacuum and pulled the vacuum again and this time let it sit overnight, when I checked in the morning the vacuum had not lost any of the vacuum from where I left it at, 29 bar. I am very impressed with this product and would buy it again. If you want to good vacuum chamber for resin or other projects don’t hesitate and buy this vacuum chamber. I was hesitant because of the few bad reviews, but this vacuum chamber does the job and does it well.

QA needs some work. You get what you pay for. First item developed a heavy backflow leak of oil that emptied the reservoir. Researching online suggests there was a faulty gasket inside of the pump. Easy enough to replace if you're handy with tools, but since I was within the return window I sent it back and requested a new one. Replacement unit works great, zero issues. Only minor complaints now. First, the screwdriver that comes with it is a size too small. Second, the valve screws are not machined tightly enough to handle pressure. They give you some tape that you're supposed to use, but you'll want to buy some Thread Lock before assembling.

Great product. Used to remove air out of a vehicle intercooler. Used some fittings to make happen. Well worth the money

Used for the first time today and was blown away! It took about 13 minutes to remove all bubbles but was worth the wait. I finally had a bubble free pour. The small amount of bubbles created from pouring were quickly removed with torching. I highly recommend this product. It was easy to set up and even easier to operate. What a timesaver! Yes!!!

This unit couldn't hold vacuum for more than one hour without the lid breaking. I tried it twice. The first one cracked but still held vacuum after an hour. Thinking either the gauge or the lid was defective I returned the first one after the seller offered to send me only a new lid (and not a gauge which I said would not zero). The second's lid cracked even faster and would not hold vacuum. Both of them were returned. Save yourself the hassle. Buy a Vevor with a glass lid (still holding vacuum 24 hours later without cracks in the lid).

I filled the oil as instructed, halfway between min and max. After running about 10 minutes I noticed oil splatters on the floor around the pump, significant oil on top of the outlet muffler, and even a slight haze in the room presumably from oil mist. To be fair, the vessel I was attached to was not airtight (only achieved about -11 psi) so there was more airflow than normal. Also, there is a very large range between max and min oil level, so I should probably run it closer to the "min" level and it will probably stop spitting oil. I've used other pumps before that seem to like the oil level on the low side. On the plus side, when using the stainless steel chamber that came with the pump (which has no leakage) the little pump sucked it down to nearly full vacuum within seconds, and I could turn the pump off and the vacuum would hold so there is no leakage. I did not even use the included hose clamps, just pushed the vacuum hose onto the barbed fittings. The pump runs quiet and smooth. Also nice is that the lid of the chamber is clear plexiglass, so you can keep an eye on what your degassing. The gauge, fittings and hose all seem pretty good quality. As others have mentioned, the instructions are strange and confusing. But everything is obvious, I recommend through the instructions away and just figure it out yourself. Its not hard.

Terrible vacuum device. Huge delay, no real functionality, and a complete waste of money.

The pump arrived with oil leak and a mess. After cleaning up, try to fill oil, however the 300ml oil bottle cannot even fill the oil to the minimum line. Have to order more pump oil. Also the description says it can work with resin wood, pay attention to the warning sign on the tank, says not to use with wood resin with polycarbonate lid, I think the one came with it is acrylic. Just a bit confusing here. Tested run with oil at around mid point, the noise level is low and acceptable. However, smoke start come out when the pressure is about -20”hg , hard to see on the video, I guess this is normal? Would be nice if some one can confirm. This is my first vacuum pump.
