Great product
So easy to use. Light is good because it can be moved up and down. Magnification is perfect for craft work

Really solid build
This magnifying lamp seems to be very well together - good materials and well constructed. In particular, it has a good heavy base ensuring it remains very stable which is obviously important when any movement is magnified. I didn't check the measurements when purchasing but I was a bit surprised that it was significantly larger than I was expecting - I've photographed it alongside a sheet of red A4 paper to provide scale.

Not worth the money by a long way
This lamp was truly disappointing considering it's £30. The cable is far too short to be of any practical use. The gooseneck is very solid and heavy - so much so the lamp tends to overbalance. The on/off switch is very flimsy and somewhat 'hit & miss'. The lamp only shines on one small area at the far right rather than lighting up the whole area under the lens. The plastic used in the base, where the light is, and the top end of the gooseneck is quite thin and, guessing from the feel of it, I should imagine it's also brittle. Generally speaking, it's very poor quality for the price. I have returned mine and asked for a refund.

No 8x dioptrie , and the light is just small not to good . Flexibility is hard to used also.
Unfortunately is not 8 x dioptrie lens . I not happy when i realised this, the flexibility is hard also to used. I sorry this but the design is nice.

Amazing lens
I gave this a 5 star because the lens is superb. However, one negative comment. The LED light shorts out all the time and that is a bit annoying. Otherwise great product for the money.

Magnifier With Light? What Light?
The light is an afterthought on this magnifier. The 6 LED lights that it touts are in one small spot where the magnifier head meets the arm. They may look bright in one spot, but they don’t give off much overall light. Our mistake, but we thought the 6 lights were spaced around the ring of the magnifier, so the light would shine directly down on what you’re reading. The spot light is just that – point the light at a spot. Yes, the little spot is adjustable up and down, but it just doesn’t light things up the way we expected. It’s hard to judge light in pictures, but we took these in natural light so you could see the minor difference between dark (off) and light (on).Another small thing that we find annoying is the giant plug with a red light that’s always on. Granted, it’s only pennies, but those glowing plugs use constant energy. We’re no experts, but we think it probably has something to do with LED, as another one of our lamps does the same thing. We never minded as much because the lamp is used daily, so if it needs to maintain energy then so be it. But this is a minor appliance to use occasionally. Leaving it plugged in and glowing seems to be a waste. And for such a tiny LED to begin with, one would think that a regular plug would be fine to give it power when you want to turn it on. Whatever. We’ll just live with plugging and unplugging when we want to use it. The lights are so dim, we probably won’t use them much anyway – just the magnifier. As far as the magnifier itself, we have no way to gauge the accuracy of the 8x level. We just know that it makes things somewhat bigger depending on how you hold it underneath. We mainly wanted it for the kitchen to read package directions that are being printed increasingly smaller as the years pass. The worst is the measurement fractions. Would it really hurt package designers to print 1 / 4 cup in line with the regular characters rather than letting the font change it to ¼ symbol? Rant over. The magnifier is a magnifier. As far as ease of assembly, that was a snap – literally. Only time will tell us the quality of how well the unit holds up. Overall, it’s a good size, we like the phone holder, and it seems handy for its intention. It’s only the light that’s disappointing.
