My Ophthalmologist told me several months ago I have macular degeneration. I had both my lenses replaced, and he keeps note of my condition, now three years since the surgery. He recommended I start taking the Areds2 vitaminin supplement, and gave me a sample pack of the Bausch+Lomb Preservision Areds2 pills. He told me - "Don't buy these - too expensive - find an equivalent on line." At my age, I take three medications and two suppliments, daily, and will forever. With the Ojos Labs Maculabs, I find it differs from the B&L patent by twice as much copper in the formula. Not a bad thing. Copper is good for the eyes. Cheap Preservision copies do not have the same formula, usually less in one or more critical areas. Starting on my second 90 day bottle, and saving about half on each day's dose, which I expect to keep buying for the rest of my life. I'm glad Ojos Labs Maculabs got it copied, correctly.

All of the pills in the bottle were completely welded into one solid mass! They must have been kept in hot storage. With a lot of effort, we were able to break them apart. I’m hoping they are still effective for my MD.

My optometrist recommended I take AREAD2 vitamins since he detected a slight amount of macular degeneration at my last eye exam. I search Amazon for these vitamins and found these. They were the best priced and will be my go-to AREAD2 vitamins for future orders.

The product itself if a good Areds2, however the last two orders received that tablets have been fused together in a clump. This is caused from excessive heat when stored prior to being delivered.

I purchased this Areds 2 formula eye vitamin as I have used several similar over the years and wanted one with more than 60 in a bottle. The price was right and I took my first set today. They went down very easy and I took them after my morning meal with my other supplements. I cannot say how they will work but they seem to match up to the other brands I have previously purchased over the years which are similar to these. I will be purchasing more in the future.

I have been taking a AREDS vitamin for several years. There is no proof the AREDS vitamins improves macula degeneration and no way to know if your condition would get worse if you didn't take the vitamins. I can say my vision has NOT improved. It certainly has NOT improved my night vision either. My personal opinion is AREDS is marketing hype, but since I only have vision in one eye I take it.That said, the product is a good value for what is says it has. It has twice the potency of Presser Vision AREDS and is less expensive.

Good
