MAKITA 18V LXT Lithium-ION 4.0AH (BL1840B)

Its makita product. It has a great battery life. Price was very good. I would buy again

OEM battery, expensive but it's a quality battery.

The batteries work as expected. The batteries are Makita batteries. The delivery was prompt.

Battery is identical to original, except original is 3AH, and new one is 4AH....AND new battery has a strategically place ridge, not immediately obvious, that prevents it from inserting all the onto the drill. The drill itself has a small stud or boss in the track that the ridge hits, preventing full insertion. This is clearly by design. A friend who has several Makita tools said they redesign the tracks every so many years to prevent replacement batteries working if your tool is over a certain age, thereby "encouraging" you to buy a new power tool. I purposely avoided the cheaper imported batteries, reasoning that the Makita branded battery would be least likely to give problems. The fix is simple; take an exacto knife or similar, and whittle off the ridge. Five minutes, and it works like a champ. BTW, my Makita model is BHP454, and I've had it about 7 years.

Good quality, going strong! My other batteries were old and couldn’t hold a charge for more than ten screws. These last and last and I am very happy with them. Recommend!

I've tried 3rd party batteries and while they work, they don't provide the same amount of power or the same lifetime. I found that the 3.0AH Makita had the same capacity (based on run-time with the Makita blower) as the 3rd party 6.0AH. One of the two 3rd party batteries also died after 6 months. There may be other 3rd party alternatives that work better, but I'm sticking with Makita! This is definitely another case of "you get what you pay for ".

La compré sin saber cómo funcionaban las nuevas baterías de li-ion en las herramientas inalámbricas y la verdad es que fue una sorpresa ver el rendimiento de esta batería. La compré para una llave de impacto y tiene una duración muy alta, la verdad es que es difícil cuantificar la duración, pero para varias horas apretando tornillos da, si es continuo pues no sabría decir el tiempo, pero está muy bien, y el peso no es una exageración.

Der original Makita-Akku ist nun seit einigen Jahren im Heimwerker-Einsatz bei mir. Heimwerkereinsatz heißt: Er liegt auch mal Wochen lang rum, dann kommt ein Projekt und er wird für Akkuschrauber und Co genutzt. Er funktioniert einwandfrei.

Arrivata con largo anticipo rispetto al previsto, Amazon sempre una garanzia; Carica molto velocemente, circa 50 minuti , tanta potenza per tutti gli attrezzi Makita sui quali va a corredo. Consigliata a chi ne fa un uso saltuario come me ( rimane carica a lungo,fornisce molta potenza costante nel tempo e bassa autoscarica) , ai professionisti , i quali ne acquisteranno sicuramente più di una unità per lavorare tutto il giorno, a chi vorrà farne uso hobbystico ,visto il costo contenuto e la lunga aspettativa di durata.
