Love these shoes ♥♥♥♥
I have much the same comments for these as for my other pair, so will include some of that review here:I have several pairs of Hasbeens now, this was my 2nd pair. I wear Hasbeens most days, and I walk a lot. I'll share with you some of the things I've discovered over the past 12 months as a dedicated Hasbeens enthusiast. I estimate I've had about 300 days of wear of my Hasbeens so far.Do like the instructions say and use olive oil on both the leather and the lime wood. They only recommend that you use oil on the 'nature' or un-dyed shoes, but I use oil on all my Hasbeens. The natural leather turns a lovely deep brown, a much darker shade to what it is prior to oiling. My red pair also turned a deep red, which I really like.I also find that the oiling of the leather is a HUGE help with the breaking in process. The leather is very thick, therefore it is very stiff at first. They take several wears to break in, and there may be some pain involved. Like another reviewer, my first pair cut into my foot at the top when I did the 50 minute walk to work in them. I mistakenly thought that they were broken in because I had already worn them several times, and they were so comfortable. However, being a novice I hadn't oiled them. My feet bled, and I didn't wear them for a week or so. I oiled the shoes, and stretched them by shoving another pair of Hasbeens inside them straight after the oiling, and I left them overnight. They have stretched width-wise A LOT, so be careful if/when you stretch them because if you over stretch them you can't go back! It is a good idea to don a cute pair of socks with these the first few times you wear them. Now I oil and stretch them a little before wearing and I haven't had any problems since. I prefer this height to the lower heel - it looks high, but doesn't feel like it and is super comfortable. They look great! I wear them most of the year and I have a couple pairs of boots for the couple of months in winter when it's too cold for sandals. I do try not to wear them when it rains.I noticed some comments about the wood getting dirty - when I notice this happening I sand the wood part of the shoe, including the foot bed (the part where my foot goes), then I oil the whole thing with olive oil. The great part about this is - no more stinky shoes! As well as sanding off any discolouration, you also sand off any smell. Eventually the wood is lovely and smooth, and I think that even this has contoured a little to my feet from constant use. The sanding and oiling is part of the shoe maintenance, just like they did the in old days. The leather is supposed to soften and darken, and the wood will darken a little too I guess. I realise that many people may not be used to having to actually maintain their shoes in our disposable throw-away culture, but this is an investment. Imagine how much less landfill there'd be if people held onto their shoes for a lifetime. I plan to with these. One more thing - I have achilles tendonitis in both legs, and it was a nice bonus to find that the pain completely goes away when I wear these. It's something to do with the shape of the shoe and the wood holding the foot quite still when I walk, and the tendons in the back of my legs aren't over-stretching. If I wear flat shoes with flexible soles, the pain comes back.

Two Stars
Looks beautiful but unfortunately runs almost two sizes too small :(

Very disappointed.
I always liked the look of Hasbeens and was super excited to get my first pair. These shoes are adorable, lightweight for wooden shoes. I usually wear 10M and based on advice ordered an 11M. These shoes felt like a 9M. They were very narrow, I could barely get my feet in them. They were also too short with my big toe and heel hanging off the edges of the front and heel of the shoes. I was very sorry to send them back.

True to size for me!
I am a 9.5 - 10 typically and purchased the 10 natural. I took a chance that they would fit and are perfect, not too tight at all. I also bought a pair in black and they are a bit smaller but will stretch and soften and should also be quite comfortable. The leather is stuff but I can tell when it softens up these will be my summer go to sandal. I'm tiving these 4 stars for now since I haven't worn these too much yet in our Seattle spring.I found hasbeens when I broke my big toe three weeks before heading to Europe. I bought the jodhpur boot on and fell in love with the comfort and quality hasbeens, not to mention the reduced prices on Amazon. Sizing may be troublesome for some as my boots are an 11 and fit perfectly while these are pretty close to true size.

Beautiful shoe but somewhat small
I have been wanting a pair of Swedish Hasbeens for quite a while but I’m not the kind of person to just throw away $200+ for a pair of casual shoes. So I decided to do what every other person on Amazon does - I waited for it to go on sale. I’m glad I bought them because they are really cute.Size – They don’t offer half sizes, so keeping this in mind I would say they run true to size. I have narrow feet and usually wear a 6 1/2 on anything that has a heel. If it’s flat I can go up to 7 1/2. I first ordered the 6 and my heel reached the edge (no problem there), but my big toe was sticking out a little. The shoe wasn’t uncomfortable but I decided to exchange it for a 7. I think the 7 is a little bit too big but is not that noticeable, and it was the best fit of the two (no toe sticking out). So I would say, based on my experience, if you have narrow feet and are between sizes then go up ½ size more. I’m sure that someone with wide or even normal feet would feel the need to go up a whole size.Quality– The shoes seem to be well made. I will have to update on that one after wearing it for a while because is still winter here. The leather is really good and thick – I can see that they will take a while to break in. I ordered the nude and it looks exactly as pictured. I treated them with Frye leather wax and it made them a little bit darker, which I expected. In general, the shoe is very cute and well made but I wouldn’t pay full price for them as I think they are overpriced. Still, I would be willing to spend more than what I would for any other casual shoe of this kind because they are really cute.

Worth every penny!
I read reviews and considered styles very carefully before committing to ordering a pair of these darling shoes. I was even prepared to wear them gently around the house for a couple of days to be sure I loved them and tried to harden my heart to return them just in case I did not. I do! Since it is a cool, rainy Spring day, I bucked them on right over a pair of medium weight wool socks and was pleasantly thrilled with how cute they are even with a pair of old socks. Right away I knew that I would have to walk around in them a bit first to make them "my own", but they are so light and even with some height do not make me feel like I am walking on stilts. I knew they were not going back! They did however squeak as another reviewer commented, but that was easily solved with a bit of mink oil. I used an old watercolor paintbrush and put just a dab in where the leather was rubbing underneath the buckle-shaped piece in the front. No more squeak. I expect that would have gone away in time anyway. I have been wearing them comfortably, for four hours, through a busy day of light housekeeping and expect to wear them happily for years to come. I certainly will be looking for another pair in black.
