Would buy ten times again! Easy to assemble. Size is perfect for my two year old. Perfect for independent play as well as playing with them! Aesthetically pleasing!!

The picture attached is a M&D kitchenette I ordered 8 years ago. I ordered another M&D K because they are well made, but in pink. All my 11 grandchildren have enjoyed it to this day when they come over. I wanted my youngest 3yr granddaughter to have one at her house to play with her other 2 older sisters that have enjoyed the one I attached to this review. My son inlaw said it was not difficult to put together and they are also pleased with the quality of the kitchenette.

It only took my husband and me about an hour and a half to put it together after the kids went to bed. It seems sturdy and made with good quality materials. I do believe it is worth the price. It was my six year old’s birthday present, and it’s the perfect size. My almost nine year old has enjoyed playing with it too. The ice cubes and ice maker are a big hit for the kids! *box of accessories bought separately

I just received this today and I was determined to get it put together for our Grandchild. Directions were super easy ! and the quality is AMAZING !!! From the detailing of back splash, counter top, cute doors and even a towel rack ! MELISSA & DOUG you guys nailed it. Also I would like to add I have 4 grown adult children and have been buying Melissa and Doug for all my years as a parent. Never have I been disappointed. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Well built and the instructions are as easy as they could possibly be. You definitely want a drill to speed up the assembly because as you've likely read there are a ton of parts. Put aside a couple hours plus or minus 30 depending on how motivated you are. My 2 year old daughter LOVES this and it's the only thing that she plays with every single day. Definitely worth the money. That being said, my only knock is that it had a strong musty smell coming out of the box that 2 months later has gotten better but it's still noticeable. There was no damage to the packaging so not sure if it was something with just the one we received for whatever reason or that's how they all are. *Update 5.10.17 We've had this for well over a year now and it gets used on a daily basis. It has held up nicely. I will say that depending on how well lit the room is that you have this kitchen, the counter space is pretty dark. I have seen a few other reviews that point this out as well. I found a bar light that fits perfectly under the top shelf / microwave that can either turn on and off with a hand wave or will turn on and then off automatically via motion sensor. It can be mounted with double sided tape that is included which is more than sufficient to hold the light as weighs next to nothing. You can also feed the power cord through a slot that exists for the cup holders which is immediately under the shelf so no need to drill a hole. I've attached a picture with the room lights off in an attempt to demonstrate how bright the light is. I went with this though because of the motion sensor option. You walk up to the kitchen and the light pops on and once you walk away it shuts off after a minute or two. It's made a big difference and our daughter thinks it's the coolest thing which in itself makes it all worth it. I did check out the hand wave attachment (you plug one or the other into the end of the light strip for which function you wish to have) and it seemed to be a little too sensitive where the light would flicker on and off several times with a single hand wave. *Update 12.19.17 - my daughter is now 3 and she still plays with this kitchen almost every single day. My 10 month old son now loves standing at the sink and playing with the toy food and dishware. Of all the things we have purchased or received for our kids this by far has had the most longevity. * Update 10.14.20 - 4 years later and it looks as good as the day we set it up. Kids still play with it constantly. Also of note the light I attached, referenced above, also still going strong.

My children are obsessed with this kitchen. Easy to put together - the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It did take about an hour to assemble so make sure you have the time. The kitchen is lightweight to move/carry with two people. It fits perfectly in our play area. There are no batteries or noise. Our favorite part is the 'ice maker'. The sink did come broken which was a bummer. The kitchen comes with NO ACCESSORIES - you have to purchase kitchen fillers separately. All in all, the kitchen is a great buy.

We didn’t have want the cheap plastic kitchen set so we went with this wooden one which is very sturdy. Took us 1 hr to build this kitchen, it wasn’t bad at all. The instructions were pretty straightforward. Clean it before using it. We got bunch of brown junk off of the boards. Very pretty though. Good size for my 2 year old. My kid’s favorite part was the ice machine and the stove!

This play kitchen is amazing and super cute! My son got this play kitchen for his 4th birthday. He's going to be 7 in March and he still loves playing with this kitchen. He now shares his play kitchen with his 2y old sister. She has a blast playing and cooking in their kitchen. This play kitchen has so much room and can hold a lot of play food. I've glamed it up a bit by buying real LED motion sensor lights that turn on so my kids can see at night. Also added some fun stickers. Makes it so much more fun! I love the ice machine. With a simple push you have fake ice cubes that really fall out. The microwave can turn as well but you have to spin it on your own to make it turn with a knob underneat. You can really dress this kitchen up however you want. I use the top part of the kitchen witch I believe is the freezer as a little pantry. Then the fridge is used as a half freezer for their frozen treats and ice cream. Such a fun play kitchen. I have fun playing with my kids kitchen lol. The extra storage for the pots and pans was bought separately. I use to keep them in the oven. It goes super well with this kitchen and holds all their cooking accessories. This kitchen is wonderful all on its own. If your thinking about buying it just BUY IT! Your little one/ ones will love it. Can't remember how long it took my husband to put together but it was up in no time. I love this kitchen and my kids love it even more !

I debated getting the IKEA kitchen or this Melissa & Doug one and I’m really happy we got this one. It has a lot of great features and is very well made. It does take some time to assemble but very worth it. My son loves playing with this kitchen. It has a towel holder under the counter edge, oven knobs that turn, microwave has a spinner underneath so you can watch the food turn inside, sink facet rotates, ice cube maker in the fridge door is a nice feature my son absolutely loves, the grocery list sheet is made of a solid plastic which is bendable and sturdy (will last with my son who is very rough). My favourite part is that it has tons of storage space and looks clean. It’s the closest you’ll get to a real kitchen. The only area I can see that could be improved is making the counter edge (where you would prepare food) maybe 2-3 inches longer.

Got this about a year and a half ago, gets played with at least once a week and no damage or issues to report. Instructions are very clear and each piece is labeled. I'd just recommend having two people when putting it together to save time and hassle. Overall great pretend play kitchen.

Die Küche ist super schön und wird ein Weihnachtsgeschenk für unsere Kleine. Der Aufbau war total leicht, dank der super Anleitung und der beschrifteten einzelnen Teile. Sie ist hochwertig, auch wenn ich bei dem Preis skeptisch war weil es für eine Kinderküche schon happig ist, bin ich froh sie gekauft zu haben. Es war die einzige Holzküche die mir optisch einfach zu sagte. Sie bietet viel Stauraum, was mir oft fehlte bei den Küchen. Ich bin rundum happy. Einzig eine Schraube hat beim vorgebohrten Loch etwas das Holz beschädigt- dafür findet sich sicher eine Lösung und kann sicher immer mal passieren. Ich freue mich auf die strahlenden Kinderaugen!
