Great Laptop Get One While You Can
This is a very nice laptop by Lenovo. You can't get a better dealthan this, it's a fast laptop and Windows 10 runs just fine on thismachine. The main shell of the laptop is solid. Not sure if it's aluminumor Strong Plastic, it's painted silver if it's plastic. This is a thinlaptopjust under an inch, it looks like the Top & screen were the method ofgetting this this thin. The hinge is very durable and the screen isremarkable. Non-Glare IPS so theres room to be offset from center and still see fine.Video color is true color and pleasing to look at. The Keyboard is excellentand back-lit,, looks cool even during the day in a low lightoffice. From power on to ready to use takes maybe 30 seconds total, and that is withwith Antivirus and Spyware software installed. The 256 gig SSD Drive is partlyresponsible, the i7-7500 Kaby Lake processor is the other reason it boots sofast. The first thing I need to do is buy another SSD Drive and Clone it to this drive. If anything goes wrong I'll just pop in the Clone, Send In The Clones!, and I will beback up and running in no time.It may be a year or even two that the SSD failsor I screw up windows. Hardware from overseas isn't the quality it use to be.Things just fail so be ready for it.High speed Wi Fi is fantastic and this laptop has an ethernet port, that is something I stillwanted on a laptop and Lenovo thought of everything. It has 2 USB 3 ports, a USB portand still has a DVD Reader/Writer.Everything works just fine, which is rare on other brands products.Get one while you can, Kaby Lake's will go fast.Update. Just added a new Samsung EVO 500GB SSD Drive to my laptop. Now I have a system backup via the Original Laptop Drive for my Laptop. The new drive gives me more Drive Space and it's a bit faster than the Original Drive. This laptop is amazing, no problems after a month of heavy use.

Does the job!!
Now that I have had this machine for a bit over 6 months I feel I can do a reasonable review. I like it very much and it is serving me well with no problems or hiccups. The reason for the four stars is1) I selected the SSD hardrive and there simply is not enough space. I know this is probably my own fault however there is a fairly large partition on the hard drive from the factory dedicated to Lenovo software and it is nearly empty, taking up a lot of valuable space I could be using. I don't feel comfortable re partitioning the HD therefore this space for me is basically lost.2) In this era of slim sleek design, the monitor is really clunky looking with a very wide gray plastic frame. You can see it in the pictures. Since this doesn't effect performance it is a relatively minor thing but it does effect the overall appearance negatively.Overall I'm enjoying this computer. Most of the time I have it connected to a 4k 23" monitor and the graphics are sharper than any I have ever seen. I love the back-lighted keyboard and the small shift key on the right side does not bother me as it has some of the other reviewers. I would buy it again/recommend with the 1TB drive and not the SD one.

Great performance, cheap frame
It's responsive and fast and has no issues running Fusion 360 (3D modeling software). ArcMap runs smoothly with Hardware Acceleration on.My only drawbacks are the plastic frame that feels thin and flimsy covering the lid. I'm used the the metal body of a MacBook, so the plastic feels cheap in comparison. You'll need to be extra gentle with this laptop if you're a used to a metal frame laptop. Also fact that the Warehouse Deal laptop I received came preinstalled with ransomware was a bummer. After wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS, it's running well. But be wary of even Warehouse Deals advertised as "New". Amazon would have refunded me had the wipe not worked, but just warning in case you don't want the chance of extra hassle. It's a pretty large 15.6" laptop (feels a little larger than the MacBook Pro 15.5"), but because of the hard plastic frame, isn't too heavy. All in all, at the $675 price point of the Warehouse Deal, I'm extremely pleased with the performance of this laptop so far.

nice solid lighted keyboard that doesn't flex when you type
for a relatively inexpensive laptop, this is really well made, and doesn't feel "cheap" at all. nice solid lighted keyboard that doesn't flex when you type. the keys have a nice feel to them. the display could be a little brighter (matte finish, I suppose) but the IPS display with 1920x1080 resolution has good, accurate colors and the contrast is good. Nice viewing angle- much better then TF screens. Good WiFi connectivity. My biggest complaint is Windows 10. despite the newest i7 chip, and 8 gigs of ram, it is much slower then I thought it would be. My 2 year old desktop that I built with an i3 chip and 8 gigs of ram, running Win 7 pro is significantly faster (it is fair to say that I "know" Win 7 better, and probably have it better optimized for my use). plenty of external connectors for peripherals. I have not used the DVD to burn disks, but it worked like a DVD should to install older software.

NICE LAPTOP, GREAT PRICE SUPER FAST - NO CONS
I AM NOT A HIGH TECH CUSTOMER, I ONLY WANTED TO GET A REALLY QUICK AND RELIABLE LAPTOP. FOR THE PRICE THERE MAY BE OTHER OPTIONS OUT THERE, BUT FOR ME THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANTED AS IT REALL Y IS WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL BE., it is fast, boot up is about 15 secs just like other reviewer said, the machine is super fast, i guess the SSD is what make the difference i have a dell core i5 on hard drive and it is really slow even though I don't lots of stuff in my pcs. I can say this is faster than my core i5 desktop pcs that are supposed to run faster than a laptop.AsI said I am not high tech but to make it simple, I wanted speed and this latop has it. I don't know what lenovo does, I have always purchased Dell and when i bought lenovo it always makes lot of difference.Other reviewers also say the Shift key is a con, i can't say it is you just have to get used to it, Lenovo could ve made it better but it is OK.

Pretty good laptop
Pretty good laptop, but the shift key on the right hand side is a 'page up' button, and is annoying to get used to. Otherwise, really sleek laptop!
