Whatever magic's on these chews works!
I wasn't expecting much from this little bag of what looked like moist cat treats but felt if our 17yr. old Angel (a 9lb. pure white alley cat) would feel less like sleeping all day & night it'd be worth a few bucks to find out. I know it's hard to tell with cats how they're actually feeling because they tend to hide their pain & illnesses from their pet parents.Fast forward a month after starting these tasty little chews twice a day and our little Angel has turned into a bit of a devil! She still sleeps a lot, like most cats, but nothing like before. Yesterday I saw her stealthily creep up on Felix, our big 9 yr. old tuxedo (23lbs!) and proceed to do a foot-high aerial jump right onto our sleeping giant - who definitely wasn't asleep after Angel came thiiisss close to landing smack on him. What followed was a (perfectly normal) cat play fight in which she truly held her own.She stole a scruffy pad out of the bathroom and proceeded to turn it into 'enemy #1'. I'd bought her a wind-up mouse a few months ago which she had been ignoring. All of a sudden she was going after it like she was 10 yrs. younger, pouncing & chasing the mouse before having to surrender it to our third cat, Cammie, a svelte 9yr. old 11 lb. tortoise. They had a quick tussle over the toy - something we'd hadn't seen in years - before Angel gave it up. She's also staying awake to watch TV in my husband's lap (she likes Westerns, of all things!).All told this is probably THE best money I've ever spent on a pet, both in value and in results. I plan to order (a lot) more of this Pet Natural Hip and Joint chews for all 3 of my fur babies, though I may regret it later when they're all acting like kittens! LOLWhatever magic is in these chews works!!! In less than a month we have a much younger cat, activity wise. Her appetite has returned & she's gained almost 1/2 lb. since starting these chews. ( I don't think this would happen with every cat, but in this case our Angel had been barely eating even when tempted by canned cat food. Shortly after starting these Pet Natural Hip+Joint chews we noticed she was the first one to come running for 'food call' . She stayed longer & ate more, becoming both the first to come & last to leave every feeding.) That big wind-up mouse suddenly appeals to the hunter in her.As previously mentioned, Angel is 17 yrs. old and is in good health. She's never been to a vet since she was spayed by the shelter (since our 3 cats are 100% indoors & they're all healthy we've never seen the need for traipsing them off to the vet, which is stressful on them). We're hoping these chews will keep our already long-lived kitties alive & active for some years to come.I've owned cats for over 50 years along with a few wonderful dogs so I feel comfortable recommending these Pet Natural Hip and Joint chews to any pet parent with an older cat. You needn't wait for your fur baby to exhibit signs of joint or other issues before starting these chews: I wish I had found them years ago for our aging princess (who is at this minute sitting on my lap with one paw on my computer as if she was typing in her own story!). She might have been spared a lot of discomfort in her old age.

Seems to work well
I have a 15 year old cat that is starting to slow down. I also have an older horse that is on a glucosamine supplement and has shown significant improvement. I started looking on amazon to see what was out there and found these. For one cat you can't beat the price and she loves the taste of them, which I am thankful for because she can be picky. She was starting to have a lot of trouble jumping up on things and while she is not 100% better she has shown a lot of improvement. They are a little large for cats so I usually break them in half, which isn't hard to do.

Works for my senior feline
I'm just finishing my first bag and it does appear to have helped my cat. She is jumping higher, racing around the house, and seems to have less general discomfort. The treats are very firm textured and she will spit them out if I don't break them into smaller pieces. My cat is not a huge fan of the flavor either. I give her these first thing in the morning before breakfast. I was surprised at the high price for the very small amount of supplements provided.. I will be looking for a less expensive alternative

Cats wouldn't touch them
My cats won't touch them. Sometimes they are picky about treats. I've heard these really help the cats if you can get them to eat them .

some bags are good, some are bad. Most are bad
My cat loved the first bag I bought and it was helping, so I bought 2 others bags. Cat will not touch them. Called the company and they said they change the formula depending "what is in season." Sounds made up to me. If you make a product that works and that cat eats, YOU DON'T CHANGE THE FORMULA. I saw someone else in the reviews having the same problem. The cat ate the first bag, then refused the second and third.

Kitty won't eat them anymore
In summary: I'm pretty sure they work well and quick, but my cat will no longer eat them so I think they must taste pretty bad.So I decided to try these for my older kitty since I noticed him not being as active as he used to be. He would also meow after jumping off higher ledges sometimes. The package said you can give 4 treats for the first 4 weeks, but I thought that was excessive so I only started out with the recommend 2.The first day went great, he absolutely loved them. The second day was about the same, except he took a little bit longer to eat them. After the 3rd day I could only get him to eat one, but it seemed like he was already being a little more active surprisingly. By the 4th day I had to smoosh a half of one around a Temptations treat to get him to eat it, but he did finish 2 this way. By 5th day I could only get him to eat one full treat. We skipped day 6 and 7 to see if a break would help but the 8th day he wouldn't even touch them even mixed with the temptations or anything else for that matter. It seems like he is actually more active and doesn't cry out as much when he jumps from high places, it's only every once in a while now. I didn't think we'd be able to notice a difference as quickly as we did. It's not a complete 180, but still noticeable. However, he no longer will touch them no matter what I put them in/mix them with. He's not a picky eater either, he usually eats anything. So thats why the 3 stars, they seem like they do work, but im guessing they must taste terrible. So they're kind of pointless if I can't get him to eat it.I also tried giving a piece of one to my other cat who almost eats anything just to see and he bit into it but spit it right out.In my pics I used a Temptation treat to show the size comparison. They're a bit bigger and thicker than the Tempations. The Pet Naturals are soft, not crunchy at all and they're easy to mold into a different shape if needed or rip apart. I've opened the package a little over a week ago and the treats are still pretty soft. They do have a resealable bag which I've been keeping them closed after every use.Obviously, I won't be buying these again unfortunately and we have half of a bag left that will go to waste as none of my cats will eat these. They seemed good while it lasted, but it didn't last too long sadly. Be careful trying these, especially if your cat is picky.
