Vortex: An FBI Thriller

Not as Enthralling as the Rest of the Series...
I love Coulter's enthralling Coulter's FBI Series, but Vortex just didn't hold my interest like the rest of the books. Don't know why.

Amazingly written
I have read and re-read this series over and over. But fir some reason this book touched me deeply. I think because something similar like this happened to me growing up except my friend wasn't buried, she was thrown into a canal. But, this book was beautifully and thoughtfully written. It was also written differently from the other books and for a moment I thought maybe it had a ghost writer, but further into it I thought no she got back to her original writing ways.

A thrilling page-turning , suspense......
Vortex (FBI Thriller, #25) by Catherine CoulterMia Briscoe, a journalist is looking into the disappearance of her friend Serena. With the help of FBI Agent Sherlock they set out to solve this crime and bring justice for her friend. They will not stop until the case is solved.Olivia Hildebrandt, A CIA operative is nearly killed on duty, then again in her own home. FBI Agent Savich is on the case, determined to solve this crime and keep Olivia safe.A fast paced compelling story with page-turning suspense. Secrets are reveled, some twists and thrills kept me engrossed from the first page. Catherine Coulter did not disappoint, she knows how to grab (your) attention and not let go.Overall I found Vortex quite enjoyable. I highly recommend to those who enjoy thrilling reads.

Slow start, better ending
I enjoyed reading this book. It started off slowly and built up to a great ending. I loved Mia, she was tenacious and determined to find out what happened to her friend Serena. And to make sure they paid for it. Also Olivia was great…along with my two favorite FBI agents Sherlock and Savich. Ready for the next episode

Superb writing
Catherine Coulter had me from the first FBI book, she had me hooked when she introduced us to Dillon Savage in The Cove. And I knew her books would be winners when she gave us Sherlock in the Maze. To date, I have all 25 books, including her A Brit in the FBI series. She is amazing in her stories and keeps your nose pressed in the book from the first to the last page.

Enjoyed this book, but...
As always, a Savich & Sherlock book is a good read. However, one of the main storylines in Vortex is so similar to one in an earlier JD Robb book that it distracted me from total enjoyment of this one.
