Great little kit for doing refurb/repair jobs Nice

Between myself and my grandkids, I go through a LOT of cheap acrylic paint. This is my favorite so far. The coverage is far superior to other cheap offerings. I mix my own colors and taught my grandkids to mix their own at ridiculously young ages, so these colors are enough for endless variations. The quality is higher than similarly priced paint. The thickness and adhesion are just a bit better than others at this price. I like just a bit of texture, so these work for me. They do dry quickly, which is good for many purposes, but when I want slower drying I use an additive. Until children can be trusted to keep the paint off their skin, out of their mouths, etc., I wouldn't leave a child alone with it. That can really vary by child. One granddaughter had it down at five, while one son is 29 and I'm not sure he could manage it.

Good to get a variety of colours as there is 12 in this box. I can mix with added white and get many different shades.

I used these acrylic paints to paint stencils on some tiles to make a backsplash for my kitchen. I bought some cheap plain tiles and painted them. This paint says it will work on tile, and it does. The paints came in wonderful colors and could be mixed to make even more colors which were just as beautiful. This is the first time I've used this much paint, so I can't compare for you, but the paint did seem consistent throughout the tube, and it was always smooth and not gloppy or overly wet. I just put a dab on a plate - the amount of toothpaste you are supposed to use on a toothbrush, and it lasted for four or five stencils. Then I put a dab of a different color. It took just a few minutes in the morning to paint, and let it dry. In the evening, I did another few tiles, and in that way, I got them all done. I did have to seal the paint before putting on the walls, since they did wash off with water, but the paint was secure unless water touched it. My initial seal did not secure the paint very well, so I added another couple of coats of sealer on the tiles that were not on the wall. I will repaint the ones that washed off, and reseal after I grout. I later heard that enamel paint would prevent that, but I do not have any experience with enamels, and my tiles were already painted at that point. The paint helped me make a beautiful custom look in the kitchen on a low budget.

You get what you pay for. Don't believe it is heavy body, rather normal consistency but colours are as expected. They are still useful for Gel Plate Printing so not a complete waste.
