GoPro Hero 9 very limited audio capabilities so Buyer Be Aware
Bought the Hero 9 , specifically to use with a headset, also bought the USB C lead to connect and both fail. GoPro has altered the firmware / software which renders them both useless in headset operation. Despite this being previously available, the updates stop that function, so contacted Customer Support to be told I now need to purchase the Media Mod, which is not cheap, smacks of another marketing ploy.
